"Yes! We know each other, he's a friend from work!"

Ok, with more of a Guardians vibe this might be pretty enjoyable.

One of my biggest complaints is how marvel has chosen to handle Hulk. Some scenes he's sentient and capable of freaking talking ("puny god") or even piloting a ship (end scene of Avengers 2), other times he's the brutal and unwieldy force of destruction that he is. Seems like whatever plot device they want him to serve dictates his level of 'human-ess.' Haven't read any Hulk comics but I'd just like to see a consistent character portrayal.

Trailer looks dope tho. Never thought Cate Blanchett could look so hot. Dark hair looks good on her.

Well in that case, definitely don't read any Hulk comics.

Hulk is that BSC girlfriend you had in college... you never knew what you were going to get when you picked her up at her house.

Notice Loki is watching the hulk vs Thor fight with the grandmaster

10 years ago, who would have thought that people were more excited for a Thor movie than Justice League movie... hell, I'm personally more excited about Thor than Spider-Man!

Saw that, also seems like Loki is fighting WITH the chick on his home planet.

Maybe the Grandmaster doesn't believe he is Thor and Loki is like, "no really it is him."

I place my bets on Loki ends up double or quadruple agenting...eventually keeps his brother from dying.

Loosely,

He is somewhat coherent when he is calm. But as he gets angrier, his blind rage grows exponentially and he becomes "dumber".

But if he gets too calm, he reverts back to Bruce.

My bet is he is either in full on rage mode and does not recognize Thor or he is being mind controlled (Loki?) at the time shown in the clip.

We know this is a "buddy" flick, so they are likely against each other for a whopping 3-5 minutes.

this. that is typical Loki.

But remember, last we saw, he was "in control" of Asgard.

If Hela is the one taking over/destroying Asgard, Loki is likely against her from the beginning.

Might be the line of the MCU

he might be juts as imprisoned as Thor, but being kept as a 'pet'. Still, Loki is master manipulator.

Very good point! Maybe both Loki and Thor get banished, but Thor finds himself in the fighting pits and Loki has charmed and swindled his way into the Grandmaster's inner circle.

Yea, that's probably the case! Should make for great popcorn theatre - thor and Hulk wrecking shop

What are the chances we see this in front of Fate of the Furious? Sure watching it on my phone and laptop are cool, but I want to see this on the big screen! What's the usual wait time?

So, I watched like 8 times, surprised that Hulk has no collar on, but I'd be willing to bet that in his helmet or on an ankle or something, there is an agitator of sorts keeping him angry when they need him to be. Maybe a microchip embedded.

Loki isn't fierce enough to be a gladiator..would be boring probably. So he's made to be embarrassed and kept as a prisoner pet until he starts wiling away and convincing he can be of use to them because of his experience with avengers and on earth... ultimately somehow saves Thor...cause Brother.

What, your TV screen isn't your computer monitor?

That gladiator scene is awesome!

Thor has his home overun by invaders, gets beaten captured and sold off into slavery and forced to fight to the death in gladiatorial combat. Basically the lowest emotional point possible.
Sounds a lot like the movie Gladiator

I do have a 42" 4K screen as one of my four monitors.

I hope we don't see the grand master and the collector at the same time. They seem so similar, I'm bound to get them confused.

Such a great trailer. I've always enjoyed Thor as a character, but Asgard, to me, has just been so boring and stuffy as hell. Also, The Dark World had maybe the most bland villain of all the Marvel movies so far. Ragnarok, however, looks like so much fun, and like they're skewing that world just enough to be quirky and interesting (ala Guardians, no doubt). Can't wait for this.

I've said this before, but starting next month, I think we could very well be in for the best run the MCU has and maybe ever will offer...

05.05.17 - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
07.07.17 - Spider-Man: Homecoming
11.03.17 - Thor: Ragnarok
02.16.18 - Black Panther
05.04.18 - Avengers: Infinity War

I mean, just look at that 12-month stretch. It's incredible. Ant-Man and the Wasp is next on the list (July 6, 2018), and I'm sure it'll be fine, but I'm just not excited for it like I am the next five.

The Dark World is one of the only Marvel movies I've not seen. Just didn't have much desire. Am I missing much? This one looks a lot more fun.

It's... fine. I honestly don't remember all that much about it, other than really disliking the villain, and not in the way I was supposed to. It's definitely not required viewing. I don't think it really advanced the overall MCU much, if at all. All you need to know is that Loki took over Asgard in the end by posing as his father... or something.

Ironically, I think this one looks like the darkest Thor yet (but still also fun)

I've enjoyed both Thor movies probably more than most on here. I think both are better than Hulk, Iron Man 2, and Ant Man and the first Thor is better than Cap 1 and Avengers 2.

The Dark World was the most sci-fi and serious of the Marvel movies. I think that makes it much less relatable. Actually makes it one of my favorite mid-tier Marvel movies.

Another key point from the movie is one of the Infinity Stones was found.

It's worth watching. There's some funny Thor bits, and there's also tons of Loki. Which is always a good thing.

Interesting, I think that Dark World, while it has some heavy scenes (Frigga's death), is one of Marvel's goofier movies. And I mean that in a good way.

I mean....Thor has to take the subway to get back to the battle.

Personally, I think this movie is really underrated.

Loki is the main reason to watch it. Actually, Loki is probably the best thing to come from the Thor movies IMO.

Love it.

I enjoy Thor's character but his movies left a lot to be desired. This is a perfect change of pace.

Marvel doesn't take themselves too seriously and it's what makes them the best.
