I won't post the page, but that shot of Urban with M 16 had to be recreating one of the most BA moments in comics. Skurge the Executioner at Gjallerbru. That made me nerd out the most. Love that they are embracing weird Thor.

yes it is likely the Guardians show up near the end, and that is how Thor and Hulk get back to Earth.

Thor meeting Star-Lord would be epic, but we do know he comes to Earth and meets Doctor Strange so there'd probably have to be some explanation as to why he can get there once but not a second time.

Thor has his home overun by invaders, gets beaten captured and sold off into slavery and forced to fight to the death in gladiatorial combat. Basically the lowest emotional point possible.
Then, this gladiatorial opponent is one of BFFs, who happens to be an unstoppable monster and one of the few beings that could help him get revenge.
...but Hulk doesn't care about friends. HULK WANT TO SMASH!!!
