Aired early, I think right before kick off so I'm betting a lot of people didn't catch it.

As usual Gunn's tone is spot on.

So, what we know is on Starlord's Awesome Mix Volume II tape:

we already knew from the first film
- I Want You Back by the Jackson 5
- Ain't No Mountain High Enough - Marvin Gaye

now, we have:
- Fox on the Run by Sweet
- The Chain by Fleetwood Mac

It wouldn't be fair if she didn't.

That trailer is awesome.

While I enjoyed Luke Cage, it definitely didn't hold up as the season went along, especially after Cottonmouth died.

Hope this gets the Marvel/Netflix stuff back on track.

Remember that scene with Ming in her white jump suit in a cage match from the trailer? Netflix apparently posted the fight.

This sentence from the article is kind of mind blowing...

Quote:

"The Avengers: Infinity War" has a May 4, 2018 release starring Josh Brolin as Thanos. Marvel Studios has yet to officially announce the cast, but the following are thought/confirmed to be a part of the movie: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Chadwick Boseman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Tom Holland and Brie Larson.

I was reading an article the other day (don't remember where), but also since the majority of the Guardians are going to be present that Mantis will also be in Infinity War.

Between GotG2 and Infinity War, we have Thor Ragnarok. I'm expecting Thor Ragnarok to be the one that's going to bring the Guardians back to Earth.

Potentially GotG in Thor. I never considered that.

Sorry, I expect them to show up in a stinger. Possibly involving The Collector.

Speculation but spoiler tags just in case:

I'm kind of expecting the Guardians at the end of Infinity War. But then, where do they go for a year in between movies? It's all a puzzle to me.

Maybe Thanos attacks the Nova Corps to get the Power Stone early on and the Guardians chase him to Earth. But if Thanos isn't on Earth early and often, who do the Avengers face?

We know that Thanos WON'T be in Guardians 2, and while it may make sense for a Thor 3 appearance, I kind of doubt it - it's stacked enough as it is. Meaning Thanos will need to visit Asgard (Teseract), the Collector (Aether), Xandar (the Orb), and wherever the Soul Stone ends up (Hel?), before or after coming to Earth for the Mind and Time stones.

It's also assumed that Thanos will complete the Infinite Guantlet in Infinity War. It's practically in the name. But if that's the case, what do they save for the 2019 sequel, which is presumably the TRUE capstone to 20 previous films? And if he completes the Gauntlet at the end of the 2018 Infinity War, who keeps the Avengers busy for the first 2 hours of the film?

if peter jackson can stretch "The Hobbit" into 8 hrs, i don't think that Disney will have any problem finding something for the Avengers to do in the 2nd infinity war movie.

my guess is that a number of the A listers are dead or incapacitated by the end of the first movie, and the B team has to step up. Or maybe it's the other way around? due to the implications of Civil War, maybe the B team gets wiped out, and Tony/Cap et al team up at the end of Part 1 and lead off on Part 2?

I thought we were back down to a single infinity war movie?

There will still be two movies, the second will just be called something else.

My speculation is that...

Thor Ragnarok will not have Thanos directly appear. Instead I expect Loki to be his influence in the film. I know, it's a duh comment, but Here's how I see it shaking out.

By the end of Ragnarok, I fully expect the Teseract to be missing/stolen. Which would leave the stinger to deal with Thor going to either Xandar (most likely IMO) or the Collector (still pretty good chance) to get either of the stones. I think Xandar is more likely because I think a meeting with the Nova Corps where Thor lays out the threat to not only them, but the galaxy as a whole will get them to call the Guardians and rope them into it.

Then at the start of Infinity War, we will probably bounce around a good bit until we finally settle on Earth. Setting up a bit of a race to get the stones and probably seeing Thanos' wake of destruction after he scoops up the Aethar from the Collector (or Xandar if they go to the Collector instead). There's almost too many players in different places not to do that. Meaning that, the final line will be drawn at Earth. I almost don't expect Thanos to show up until fairly late in the first installment.

Earlier today, I believe Del Toro was also mentioned to be in Atlanta as well.

Just my thoughts.

I hadn't looked at the schedule in a while and needed a quick refresher. For those in the same boat, here's every MCU film currently planned so far...

2017

05.05 - Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2 (post-production)
07.07 - Spider-Man: Homecoming (post-production)
11.03 - Thor: Ragnarok (post-production)

2018

02.16 - Black Panther (filming)
05.04 - Avengers: Infinity War (filming)
07.06 - Ant-Man and the Wasp (pre-production)

2019

03.08 - Captain Marvel (in development)
05.03 - Untitled Avengers Film (currently filming back-to-back with Infinity War)
07.05 - Untitled Spider-Man: Homecoming Sequel (in development)

2020

05.01 - Untitled Marvel Film
07.10 - Untitled Marvel Film
11.06 - Untitled Marvel Film

(likely candidates for the untitled films: Doctor Strange 2, Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3, Black Panther 2, or a new character altogether)

I am going to go ahead and call my shot on one of the 2020 movies being new Captain American with Falcon or Bucky as Captain America because ole Steve is going to bit the bullet vs Thanos.
TCTTS
How long do you want to ignore this user?
AG
Not a bad call. Only issue is that it would likely start filming before the 2019 Avengers movie is released, and I don't see how the cast wouldn't be made public, thus spoiling Steve's death. Maybe there's a way around that, though, or maybe it could start filming / they could make the announcement just after the 2019 Avengers movie is released, which might be kind of cool. Or... Steve could always die at the end of next year's movie, I guess.

they should totally do that. Team up with Fox and create an alternate MCU with the X Men in it!
