I think the answer is subscriber retention and new subscribers across months, but why not make some of these as movies? 90-120 minute one-offs would be great.

Armor Wars went from being developed as a series to now, a movie, and we might see others follow. Agatha All Along is a relic from the old Disney+, before the new Iger mandate, direction, etc.

Didn't they release the teaser at the super bowl? And then the amount of spots I've seen is basically "it comes out this week" level.

How much is too much? Biggest movie or not.

This is pretty standard stuff. In fact, it's actually lighter than most big July blockbusters, which often release their first trailers in November/December of the previous year. February was actually late for something like this. That, and last year at this time we were being absolutely inundated with Barbie/Oppenheimer ads, far more than what I've seen for this movie.

Which X-men movies are you (or general moviegoers) rewatching pre Deadpool? I've seen each of them at least once, but don't remember much.

I watched Deadpool 2 for the first time last weekend. It somehow got by me. Pretty entertaining. This version of Juggernaut was pretty good despite it being CGI and RR naming it CGI in the movie (ha).

And now having seen it I understand why many have assumed Deadpool is/will be the one to reset the MCU. All but tells you that in the movie.

If I had to guess they'll run through tons of references so you'll probably want to watch as many as you can.

I might watch The Last Stand again only because it's been a long time since I've seen it. I will not watch Apocalypse again because it sucks. Dark Phoenix is actually a decent movie.

I don't know if i'd go so far as to call it decent, but it certainly has good parts. The sequence in space is pretty strong. I think it does a lot bad though (I'm fighting my urge to rant about the Nicholas Hoult version of Beast). For the ~12th movie in a saga, there were a lot of generic goons (hair whip guy?), including the villain "Vuk". Just an anemic ending to a saga that deserved better. Maybe Deadpool 3 will do something to end it all again on a better note, or something.

We revisited all the Fox X-Men films last summer and it starts strong, but gets to be pretty punishing. By the time you get to Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix and New Mutants, you're so ready for it to be over.

Btw Wolverine Origins is awful but at least it's fun (and you can laugh at it). Apocalypse though... they massacred my boy.

Thank god. I actually turned off both Last Stand and Apocalypse, and never even attempted Dark Phoenix. This is saying something because I like a lot of the least popular MCU and DCEU movies.

The last scene of the last stand of wolverine on the balcony, I'm always disappointed he doesn't start singing.

I know this will be poorly received, but I enjoyed Dark Phoenix.

I didn't like Dark Phoenix, but I did like Age of Apocalypse

I started my watch-through (for the first time) of all the X-Men movies earlier this year in anticipation of Deadpool 3.

I was really excited to read TCTTS' comment last night because X-Men Apocalypse was next on my watchlist. But now I'm going to hate-watch it later this evening after reading his follow-up comment.
