I think another Chris Evans Cap story is about as likely as that Fox Gambit movie is. "That's a story for another time" is MCU director-speak for "no comment." Don't close the door on any possibilities, but it sure ain't us that's going to do anything with it.

I expected a lot more out of Square Enix. I wish Insomniac Games (the developer for the Spider-Man game for PS4) took on this project instead.

I'll have to check out the gameplay for this game. Also, Thor's voice actor sounds like Chris Pratt imitating Thor's voice from Infinity War.

I admit that trailer doesn't make it look great. The graphics look a little iffy at this stage and it didn't do much to show off the gameplay, mechanics, or even really what the game IS.

I mean, it's a four player co-op smasher RPG, right? With combos between Avengers and lots of unlockable characters and costumes and stuff? Where was all of that?

The trailer was revealed at a press conference. The game developers said the game has exclusive content released on a regular basis, online multiplayer features, and obtaining new superheroes and regions will be at no cost at all.

That's good. To be clear, I expect the game to be a lot of fun and worth playing. I just thought the trailer wasn't that well put together.

Isn't that just Ultimate Alliance 3, which comes out next month?

I need to know more. Surely they didn't just make the same game twice.

Edit: having watched the footage, it looks to be a little more 3rd person / shoulder-cam style than Ultimate Alliance, so that's good. Maybe less button mash-y.

With Spider-Man far from home a month away from hitting theaters, what are your projections for it's opening weekend and total gross (domestic and foreign)?
Spider-Man homecoming hit $117m opening weekend & sits at $880m.

I'm guessing opening weekend at $195m.
It goes on to make around $1.5B.

I ask this cause even though Captain Marvel wasn't exactly received all that well it currently sits at $1.1B. That was also part of the hype leading up to Endgame, but I think the Marvel hype Machine is in fact still rolling. With as popular as Tom Holland as Spider-Man is I think it's going to crush. Just slightly scared with that being July 4th week how many people watch instead of going to go lake/pool

- Pokemon disappointed and fizzled.

- Godzilla underperformed to the point where WB is delaying the next movie (which has already shot) in hopes of not repeating the same mistakes.

- X-Men bombed historically.

- And Men in Black looks to be a dud as well (it still hasn't screened for critics and we're two days from the release).

In other words, nearly every blockbuster since Endgame - save for Aladdin and John Wick - has been a stinker that people have, for the most part, avoided. I think audiences are likely desperate for a brand/summer blockbuster they can count on, and given Endgame's unprecedented success, I think audiences will be hungry to return to that world/story in what essentially looks to be an Endgame epilogue of sorts. Not to mention, it's a holiday release in the dead of summer and I think Spider-Man does EXTREMELY well, especially with practically nothing in its wake until Lion King (on the 19th).

WB had higher expectations, but yeah, definitely not to the degree of the others. Either way, that was early May and the other two certainly tanked, while the third looks like it's going to...
