How long do you want to ignore this user?
Can't find it to copy and paste, but there was a question that essentially said the Russo's have given conflicting info on if Cap at the end returned from an alternate time line or if he'd always been living in that one and fathered Peggy's kids. They asked if he could clear it up and all he said was, "Yes I can."

Perfect answer. Kids need to learn the difference between can you and will you

So, this is post Endgame. Interesting. Maybe this is vehicle to test him becoming Captain America?

Maybe Falcon can die at the end and Buck finally gets the shield.

Do we think those characters are going to continue in the MCU or are they just gonna be in this TV series now?

If they continue in the MCU, which film would they be in? Or does somebody get promoted to have his own movie (seems unlikely)?

I could very easily see Falcon/Captain America getting his own movie of the TV show is successful. The next Avengers is probably going to have him in it too.

That would be a total step backwards

Meh, Falcon is not a very interesting character and he is not a big draw. I'm sure Marvel could make a decent movie about him; however, I doubt many people would be excited to go see it.

Soldier is cooler than Falcon. Simple as that.

No former Russian spy (brainwashed or not) should be Captain America.

Who is excited to see externals, new mutants, or black widow? 2 movies where the public doesn't know the main characters & a movie about a dead chick. I'm sure they'll still be good because MCU but outside of that no one is ting for those.

I think the super hero lethal weapon show dealing with filling Steve's shoes sounds awesome. Then make bigger stakes on the big screen.

No ****, I didn't know that. Just because something happened in the comics, doesn't mean it should happen in the MCU. His past is too murky, he doesn't have strong leadership skills and who knows where his mind is. The comics have 50 plus years of backstories on these characters that the movie side doesn't get into. Within the MCU, Falcon makes much better sense to be Captain America than Bucky.

Speak for yourself. I am 100% here for Black Widow. Don't care if it's prequel, alternate timeline, anything. This is the movie I've been waiting for since 2010.

I'm actually WAY more intrigued about the eternals than a falcon movie. We already know who Falcon is, there is nothing intriguing about that character. I'm sure Marvel could make something work if they did give him a movie, but I imagine it would still be one of their worst performing movies. I think there is more interest in Black Widow given her death and interesting backstory, although I'm not excited about that movie.

It would be a huge redemptive arc imo. Going from a Howling Commando to spy experiment to taking on the mantle of Captain America, Steve Rogers his childhood friend to make penance for wrongs while he was a brainwashed spy. Oh yeah, that would be worse.
Bruce Almighty
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yea, it would be worse. I don't see him as a guy that others would follow or that everyone would trust. He's the guy that killed Stark's parents after all. In a world that's about to get a lot more powerful, their powers are both bottom of the barrel. Captain America needs to be a leader, and a symbol. I don't see that at all with Bucky, not to mention, between the two actors, Anthony Mackie is better, IMO.

There are certain parts that I would like the movies to duplicate from the comics. For example, it would have been nice to see Drax get his wish...right before Thanos vanishes, Drax walks up and punches his fist through Thanos' belly!

I really wish Thor would have beheaded him a second time as he dusted and said "I wasn't gonna make the same mistake twice" or "I just really don't like that guy"

Sounds good to me.

As for Falcon, I think he is among the characters that make the MCU so relatable (as opposed to DC). Like Hawkeye or Black Widow, Falcon is just a guy. No super powers. No space magic. He has some tools that he can use, and he can certainly suffer pain, be hurt or killed. I've always liked Falcon, and I like Anthony Mackie in the role.

The entire scene between Falcon and old Cap was among the best in the entire MCU. I loved seeing old Cap pass on the shield, and while I'm not sure that Falcon can really ever truly be Captain America (a super soldier), he can easily be a symbol of Captain America. An idea of Captain America.
