Speaking of, when do you guys want to allow Endgame spoilers in this thread (without spoiler tags) and be able to freely talk about the implications on the MCU as a whole, etc.? As soon as tomorrow? Another week or two? I'm down for whenever, but it might be good to come up with a date.

I mean it was literally called Infinity War Part 2 for a while.

Right, But the reason they changed it, and the reason the fully separated the shooting schedules, is because the second movie became something so different.

There were litterally articles floating around advising audience members when to go to the restroom. I laughed until I my bladder was almost exploding 3.5 hours later.

Now imagine showing one 6 hour movie instead of two 3 hour movies.

This is just me, but I'll never be able to just throw on Infinity War or Endgame without watching both of them.

Seems like putting on Two Towers and watching just that.

From this point on, the 2 big questions are whether it can beat TFA's domestic and Avatar's global.

Virtually any other records that exist will probably be shattered.

The biggest factor now is competition. It's got another week of no competition, but after that it's got Pokemon, then John Wick 3, and it pretty much keeps going all summer.

I vastly underestimed how huge the opening weekend would be, so here's my predictions.

Domestic: $1.1 B (Beats TFA)
Global: $2.5 B (Just falls short of Avatar)

I don't see it beating Avatar, but TFA is within striking distance. Avatar seems almost untouchable. My prediction, it ends up 2nd in both.

After one weekend, percentage-wise, it's closer to beating Avatar's worldwide total than it is to beating TFA's domestic total.

I seems like to me with the reactions and word of mouth I'm hearing so far, this thing is going to be huger than anything I can remember.
