Monday, May 6th? That gives people two whole weekends to see it.
They're different, but so are Kill Bill 1 and 2.TCTTS said:John Matrix said:
I'm about an hour from seeing it, but I'm totally going to count IW/Endgame as one film. I do the same for The Lord of the Rings and Kill Bill- they're the same story, filmed simultaneously, just released st different times.
You're about to find out that Endgame is a TOTALLY different film, though. To me, they're very separate experiences.
I mean it was literally called Infinity War Part 2 for a while.PatAg said:
I don't really get the logic of combining trilogies and sequels into one movie.
There were litterally articles floating around advising audience members when to go to the restroom. I laughed until I my bladder was almost exploding 3.5 hours later.PatAg said:

Early morning estimates show that Disney/Marvel's Avengers: Endgame clocked $37.6M, which makes it the third best Monday ever as we were expecting last night. Disney will file their official number later this morning.
Endgame ranks behind Black Panther's all-time record of $40.15M (which was Presidents Day) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens' ($40.1M) first Monday. Endgame's Monday was -58% from Sunday.
Yesterday also repped the best Monday that April ever posted, exceeding Avengers: Infinity War's $24.7M Monday by 52%. This brings the domestic total for the Russo Brothers directed sequel to $394.7M. Endgame will fly past $400M today, becoming the fastest movie to do so in five days, beating Force Awakens' eight-day pace to that milestone.

From this point on, the 2 big questions are whether it can beat TFA's domestic and Avatar's global.
Virtually any other records that exist will probably be shattered.
The biggest factor now is competition. It's got another week of no competition, but after that it's got Pokemon, then John Wick 3, and it pretty much keeps going all summer.
After one weekend, percentage-wise, it's closer to beating Avatar's worldwide total than it is to beating TFA's domestic total.Bruce Almighty said:
I don't see it beating Avatar, but TFA is within striking distance. Avatar seems almost untouchable. My prediction, it ends up 2nd in both.
I guess we'll see what happens, but the gap between 1 and 2 is much bigger internationally than domestic.GreasenUSA said:After one weekend, percentage-wise, it's closer to beating Avatar's worldwide total than it is to beating TFA's domestic total.Bruce Almighty said:

I do not understand how Avatar made so much money. Story was bad and I don't remember thinking the technology was that exciting. Bizarre.Bruce Almighty said:
