I could be way off but it felt like an elaborate plot to get Roman some love. Rusev has basically been cheered throughout his run because he's doing too good as a heal and people love it.

Therefore they do the wedding segment to get people pissed at him, then have him win super dirty against a guy who tons of people love and would have liked to see win. When Rusev escapes after multiple interferences, Roman actually got a pop when he speared Rusev. Then people realized it was him and started the boo.

SummerSlam is 2 weeks away and here is the card so far:

• Finn Balor (Demon King) vs Seth Rollins (WWE Universal Championship)
• Dean Ambrose (c) vs Dolph Ziggler (WWE Championship)
• AJ Styles vs John Cena
• The Club vs The New Day (c) (Tag Team Championship)
• Charlotte vs Sasha Banks (c) (WWE Women's Championship)
• The Miz (c) vs Apollo Crews (Intercontinental Championship)
• Rusev (c) vs Roman Reigns (United States Championship)
• JeriKO vs Enzo & Cass

So that's 9 announced matches. With SummerSlam being rumored to be 4.5 hrs, that leaves enough room for 1 more match. Right now, every title is being challenged for.

As of now, SummerSlam won't include:

• Bray Wyatt
• Sami Zayn
• Cesaro
• Sheamus
• Alberto Del Rio

Those are some big names being left off, especially the first three.

Meltzer has said they're planning a 4+ hour Summerslam, so I'm sure they'll be involved somehow.

After last night, Sheamus and Cesaro seems fairly likely...

Meh Smackdown. I think they're using Bray to put both Ambrose and Ziggler over on their way to SummerSlam. With Bray attacking the winner at SS after the match. Just my prediction.

Shelton Benjamin isn't coming now. Apparently he has a torn rotator cuff

So, apparently Vince McMahon hasn't been at the shows for the last two weeks, and will miss SummerSlam this weekend. There is a report that says he's been on the phone micromanaging throughout the shows though, but is this a bad sign for him? Maybe this is why they brought Shane back when they did, as they've known something about Vince's health?

I have been watching nitro in order. Currently on 1998 and the episode where ultimate warrior comes out

I've been meaning to watch that since I thought it was awesome as a kid. Does it hold up or is it cringeworthy

I also wish WWE Network had old Thunder episodes. Sting joining the Wolfpac was the one moment where I remember my brother and I going ape**** while watching and celebrating together

It is pretty cringeworthy. Tony schiavone makes it pretty terrible
