And this boys and girls is a perfect example of why to NEVER bend the knee to identity politics when it comes to telling a story because it's never enough….after this it'll be a black female….and then after that it'll be an Indian….then the next and the next…..

All the while catering to a group that never intended to watch it anyway and sacrificing a story to appease people that aren't giving you money….

This guy in the tweet is a moron, but they should have kept developing Finn out more. Seemed to me they clearly deviated from whatevery they intended in the first of movie of the trilogy

Boyega: "Leia? Do i talk to Leia?"

Rian: "A little bit. And then you steal something that she drops after she falls into a coma."

Boyega: "Riight, then. Chewie? My comic foil in the first one?"

Rian: "You are never in the same frame together at all."

Boyega: 'Screw this, I'm taking that job in the Pacific Rim sequel."

His budding romance with Rose was a major highlight of Kennedy's tenure, and they really need to return to it.

It's safe to assume that anything written in the EU is not canon unless otherwise noted.

I think the Plagueis book was the last thing that came out before they moved to the new timeline. But clearly a ton of stuff has re-entered the vernacular because they were good ideas- Thrawn, the nightsisters of Dathomir, a ton of Mando culture including the beskar, etc.

Either Jedi Outcast or Jedi Academy has a great level with a mutant rancor that you can't even put a dent in no matter what you do to it. It's in a warehouse and you eventually kill it with a force field or something. There are stormtroopers in the level who are alternately trying to kill you / getting eaten by the thing.

I'm getting old. I was thinking it was one of the first things put out after Disney took over.
I think maybe timewise it was, but they counted it as the last non- new canon book because of the planning date.

It's a tremendous shame because it would be a phenomenal movie or mini-series, starting with Plagueis killing Tenebrous and completely reshaping some events of the Phantom Menace, while tying i probably 10-15 other media pieces from the prequel era and giving birth to some really phenomenal artwork as well. I just listened to the audio book and there's a scene on Coruscant where Plagueis gets ambushes by these assassins and just about dies that would be such a great movie scene.




Tim Zahn will always be the SW GOAT author for me, but Matthews Stover has some amazing titles as well including this one, the Mace Windu Apocalypse Now novel "Shatterpoint", and a really fascinating look at how diffferent Jedi & Sith view the force in the ROTS novelization.

I was thinking of the baby Rancor that crash lands on Tattooine in Tales from Jabbas Palace. Which was Jabbas Rancor, just before it was Jabbas.
