Yoda would have been like 600 years old in this time period. Maybe he knows about the sith because he's really really old. How does someone writing a Star Wars story not know that?
Who doesn't know about it? I'm confused.
I think he means the people writing for the Acolyte. As we have discussed, if Yoda is in the show and the show has Sith, it's a real problem with the plot around episode 1
Oh I see.
in the High Republic book series, which I'm really behind on, Yoda is on somewhat of a leave of absence, teaching younglings on some sort of mobile space Temple or a space station I can't remember.
So he's not really directly involved in the plot for a good bit.
In the ROTS novelization, Yoda talks about being trained by his own masters to fight the old Sith - warlords, big muscleboudn dudes who were all about vanity and glory, and that he hadn't been able to sense the return of the sith in Palpatine because he had been training himself and the other Jedi to fight an enemy that no longer existed.
It seems entirely possible that whoever is in the helmet with the Red lightsaber could never been seen by anyone who actually survives, or possibly the Jedi convince themselves that it's not really a Sith at all. Could be an early Knight of Ren for all we know; the style is similar.
Until the show is out,, it's hard to really say because there seem to be a lot of defintions of who the bad guys are being tossed around.
