I suppose I could tolerate something with Darth Bane being the first to discover possession after death. The 3rd book in his series ended with some ambiguity over whether or not he possessed his apprentice when she killed him. Would be just another thing a master kept back from the apprentice, leaning into why Vader had no idea what happened to Obi-Wan on the Death Star.

I'd agree that folks sometimes overstate how bad they are, but I still have zero interest in rewatching any prequel or sequel movies other than The Force Awakens. I thought that one was fun and set the sequel trilogy up with potential that was wasted.

I think people have begun to overstate how 'bad' any of the prequel trilogy or sequel trilogy is. They are all at least watchable. It's really easy to remember the parts that you genuniely dislike (the casino plot, riding horse-animals on the exterior of a destroyer, the prank call, etc). But there is still a LOT that is genuinely awesome about all of those movies.
I wish they were better, of course, but I still enjoy them.
Regarding any concept of a reboot...that seems like a true waste of resources. Just tell NEW stories in the universe.

Disagree. Not only was everything really bad, it was deliberatley intended to be bad and to **** all over the original movies.

Tfa had nice effects, good music, and some decent characters, but no plot other than cheap remake and attacks on the orignals. The others were totally unwatchable.

Prequels were ok, just cartoonish. Rots was pretty good overall.

I'd much prefer a 9-episode saga set in the Old Republic

3 movies of the Mandalorian vs Jedi war

3 movies of Revan and Malak going into the Unknowns and coming back as Sith with the Rakatan technology that plays out the events of KOTOR

3 movies of Revan returning to the unknowns to confront and defeat the Sith Emperor.


If I don't get a real-life version of Canderous Ordo and HK-47 nothing makes sense anymore.

There is so much material to shoot for. Ancient Sith v Jedi when the Sith controlled the galaxy. Darth Bane tricking the Jedi into believing the Sith were extinct.

EVERYONE would prefer an Old Republic saga next. Everyone.

I assume Disney has a team working around the clock to make the Old Republic saga deliberately bad and **** all over the original video games.

Accurate for many but my personal test for this is that I will watch at least parts of the PT when it's on or even voluntarily if I'm bored. Will stop down for the OT or R1 even after hundred(s)? of viewings.

If the ST is on, it's not even a consideration for having it on in the background. I tried to rewatch TLJ once because I was trying to be objective with myself that I was being too harsh and had gone too far down the hate just to hate hole. I was wrong. I hated it even moreso after trying to be objective.

Therefore, they no longer exist. I could consider TFA existing but then the last two ruin it all.

Oh I don't know... I think they care about Star Wars. I think they got wrapped up telling their story and making it about their vision rather than telling a good cohesive story and putting effort into empathizing with Star Wars fans...

I guess you could argue that the failure to take the fans into account was also a failure to care for the franchise overall

I loved that movie too. Different strokes for different folks.

I think the point is you loved the movie, but it kinda falls apart if you look too closely at it, or if you have to follow it up narratively.

Well that's why I don't look at movies too closely I guess. And I loved the Khan movie too. Although the third one was a stinker.
