Not truly star wars related, but Timothy Zahn has another series called The Quadrail series that is amazing.
It's a similar sort of setting to star wars, outer space and aliens and everything, but he is essentially a detective. I really think a movie/tv series like that could work, or even just set it in star wars if you wanted too.

Making Star Wars Net has an article that says there's a new, yet announced series coming down the pipe with Filoni and Favreau as the producers.

The article reads...

n the latest issue of Production Weekly, a project listed as "untitled Star Wars project" has appeared and though the listing has appeared several times before, with the belief previously being it was a Star Wars movie project being developed by either Taika Waititi (Thor: Love and Thunder) or Damon Lindelof (Watcmen), it's now sporting a working title and has listed producers of the project.

The untitled Star Wars project reportedly has the working title, Ghost Track 17, and sports both Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau as producers of the project. Now not everything in Production Weekly should be taken as accurate as sometimes they share internet rumours in their listings, which this may well be. Just a couple of days ago, Daniel RPK shared on his Patreon that a new series set in the "MandoVerse"from Filoni and Favreau is in development and he used the same working title in his post.
Often working titles are related to the project itself. For example Skeleton Crew was codenamed Grammar Rodeo, a reference to The Simpsons, specifically the episode Bart Simpson and friends head out on an unsupervised adventure after telling their parents they were going on a field trip to the National Grammar Rodeo. Skeleton Crew itself focuses on a group of kids lost in the galaxy trying to find their way back home. The Ahsoka series was codenamed Stormcrow, a reference to Gandalf from Lord of the Rings, a figure in which Ahsoka Tano has been compared to in the past and a character Dave Filoni has seemingly been inspired by. So with that in mind, what can we learn from the title Ghost Track 17?
Typically a ghost track refers to a song hidden on an album, meaning a song would've been left off of the records tracklist and was left as a surprise for the listener, however the inclusion of hidden or ghost tracks has rapidly declined since the rise of iTunes and streaming services. One of the most notable instances of the 'ghost track', and perhaps the first instance of it, was with the iconic album, Abbey Road by The Beatles. Abbey Road publicly sported sixteen tracks, but there was a hidden seventeenth track, Her Majesty. I wonder if the working title of this Star Wars project, Ghost Track 17, is a direct reference to Her Majesty, Abbey Road, or The Beatles in general.
I'm sure many will see that the word ghost is in the title and start screaming that it's a reference to Star Wars: Rebels, and that may be the case, but I'd lean on the side of it being not. As I said in the paragraph above, I'd wager that the title is either a reference to The Beatles track, Her Majesty, or the album it was lifted from, Abbey Road. If it's related to the former then perhaps it references royalty, more specifically a Queen.
Anyway, let's not get carried away until there's more to back up this story. It's also possible that Ghost Track 17 is a codename for a series we already know of as The Mandalorian changed its working title for its third season from Huckleberry to Foundry.

Would prefer the style of Watchmen (Lindelof) to Thor: Love and Thunder (Waititi). Waititi is fine for a one off action packed fun / campy film. But I prefer my Star Wars a little more serious with some wry humor mixed in…

Taika is perfect for writing the droids in a Star Wars environment.

If a reference to the Queen, there's a comic arc (I haven't read) about Sabe and some of the other handmaidens getting all wrapped up with Vader in the early days of the Empire. I doubt they'd adapt that, but something involving Naboo or Padme's handmaidens playing a role in the Rebellion could be cool.

The books about Padme and her handmaidens took a kinda shallow plot device about the queen using body doubles and made it into something cooler. They were essentially all spies and operatives Padme used as queen. Lots of psychology and subterfuge to give Padme political advantage.

At least in Legends, granting Jedi abilities through blood transfusion was tried and failed.

Next you're going to tell me that a dark Jedi called Tom-Wan Rid-Del wanted to stop all Jedi from mingling with low midichlorian individuals.

Strong rumor reports from multiple websites that Mando will fight the Elite Praetorian Guards from the Last Jedi in Season 3 of Mando, suggesting that at least part of the plot continues to be centered on the cloning stuff we saw on Nevarro in "The Siege" episode of Season 2 and why they were after Grogu in the first place.

At some point I think Disney needs to fix the most glaring issues of the prequels. My suggestions.

1. Explain that midiclorians don't have anything to do with force strength or granting the force. They are just attracted to force users and generally speaking the stronger in the force you are, the more you find and that it is just a crude way to measure how strong someone in the force is.

2. Explain that the rule of two was just an ideological doctrine the Sith try to follow. That it isn't some hard and fast rule. There can be more than two Sith's at any point.

Point. But Jar Jar and Young Annie are just bad, but not ambiguous.

The rule of 2 and midicholians questions are reoccurring.

I don't understand why people have issue with Rule of Two. One powerful Sith managed to survive at the time the Jedi thought them extinct. He found a single apprentice and said "We will stay hidden in the shadows. We do that by using small numbers. I will teach you everything you know and when you are strong enough, you will find an apprentice of your own, kill me and continue on."

Well first off I was just joking.

I like the Rule of 2 as well. It's what makes Palpatine's triumph in simulanenously destroying the Jedi and becoming Emperor so bad-ass. It's the work of hundreds of years of work by a ever-changing duo.

Agreed. That part makes sense. Where it starts to fall apart is when the implication that there can only be two sith at any one point, as if it was some kind of law.

Between Bane and Palpatine, any Sith Lord could have taken two apprentices at any point if they so wanted. It isn't some kind of absolute.
