I had no idea there were so many.
That's only about half of them out there...

I owe Ahmed Best and George Lucas an apology… 23 years later and my 6 and 4 year old think Jar Jar is hysterical…
I guess they were always in it for the long game…

I would highly recommend Lost Stars, a story about 2 ace pilots from the same backwater. One fights for the Empire, the other for the rebellion. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I enjoyed Tales from Jabba's and Tales from Mos Eisley cantina. What is tales from New republic?

I can't remember if that's the one that has the weird spider thing floating in space?
Those were some confusing books. There were a few series where I really felt like the author had never seen Star Wars; just had a cool idea and forged it around the galaxy.SpreadsheetAg said:ChipFTAC01 said:

That was Slave Ship / Hard Merchandise series ... Boba teaming up with some other hunters to do things...
The Analyst spider-thing (assembler) name was Balancesheet... I liked him

It can be defeated with horses and a bunch of Cessna-level spacecraft.

Tales of the Bounty Hunters are 5 novellas with each a tale of one of the BH after Han Solo.
Bossk's is about his ship getting compromised by 2 other BH
Dengar's is about him growing up as a rival swoop racer to Han
Zuckuss and 4Lom's is really interesting even if Lucasfilm keeps retconning which one is which.
IG-88's is beyond fascinating about sentinent droids on an epic scale.
Boba Fett's is a now non-canon early history of him as "Journeyman Protector Jaster Mereel" ,his first glimpse of Han Solo, and a post-Sarlaac escape confrontation with Solo when they are both feeling quite gold.
One of the best collections out there.
Ig-88 vs. Palpatine is a scene I'd pay to see in real life!Dekker_Lentz said:
I still pretty much pretend the IG-88 story is still canon. I know it gets some flack for parts of it, but like you said it is a great concept.

There's a ton of the EU in Disney+, even in Andor, Mando, and the other stuff that is approved by the culturally elite.

This guy on YouTube has been animating and voicing Heir to the Empire for a couple of years down. Best we're going to get, but worth it if you love the Zahn books like we do.YouBet said:
Am I the only one that wants to see Talon Karrde canonized? His ship was called the "Wild Karrde" for f*'s sake.
He's a genius level smuggler but honor driven. That's why I referred to him as the other side of the coin of Thrawn. He's a fantastic character.redline248 said:
I suppose I'm going to have to read those Zahn books again. It's been 20+ years and I barely remember Karrde, at all. Was he one of Luke's Jedi Council? Or did that come later in like the Legacy series?

Kardde is a neutral smuggler chief who is the largest in the galaxy in the post-Jabba era. Mara Jade is his lieutenant as the novels begin. He and Thrawn are two sides of the same coin, obsessed with information. Mara's force abilities allow him to stumble upon Luke in his X-Wing after he's been nearly captured by Thrawn, putting hi in an unusual predicament of lying to just about everyone as he tries to figure out where the best profit lies.

Karrde's a human isn't he?
