Fake news. She was not a Jedi Knight. Are we already retconning stuff or they don't know their own backstory? The Porkchop Express said:

I used this line to death after getting my leg fixed several years ago, and switched it up with "he's more machine now than man..." when people got sick of it.Brian Earl Spilner said:YouBet said:Fake news. A Jedi Knight?! I'm out of it for a little while and everyone's having delusions of grandeur.
They probably assumed he was a master because of his position on the council.redline248 said:
Younglings called Anakin "master" when everyone in the temple knew he wasn't granted that rank.
Come to think of it, no wonder he murdered them all.

Yes. She was never officially a Jedi Knight. The Porkchop Express said:
Are you seriously calling it fake news?
Luke called himself a Jedi Knight in ROTJ and nobody knighted him either.YouBet said:Yes. She was never officially a Jedi Knight. The Porkchop Express said:

Yeah, but she rejected the Order. The Porkchop Express said:Luke called himself a Jedi Knight in ROTJ and nobody knighted him either.YouBet said:Yes. She was never officially a Jedi Knight. The Porkchop Express said:

And then the order was done, what a month later? Calling herself a Jedi Knight isnt exactly breaking the rules when there is no Jedi Order.BenTheGoodAg said:Yeah, but she rejected the Order. The Porkchop Express said:Luke called himself a Jedi Knight in ROTJ and nobody knighted him either.YouBet said:Yes. I guess I don't follow. She was allowed to come back, but rejected it. How does the Jedi order going away change her decision? And wasn't she still wielding white lightsabers in Mandalorian/BOBF, and also rejected the opportunity to train Grogu, etc? Am I mis-remembering something from Mando/BOBF?The Porkchop Express said:And then the order was done, what a month later? He was the only one left (as far as he knew). No one to dispute him.The Porkchop Express said:Luke called himself a Jedi Knight in ROTJ and nobody knighted him either.YouBet said:Yes. She was never officially a Jedi Knight. The Porkchop Express said:

If that is the case, then forget everything I just posted.Grimey said:
Ahsoka was raised to Jedi Knight after she was proven innocent of murder (Clone Wars: "The Wrong Jedi"). The Council decided the ordeal was her "great trial" that proved she was worthy of being a knight.
She declined it.Grimey said:

If Ashoka identifies as a Knight we have to respect that and affirm her.
Why shouldn't they? Genuinely curious. Do you think Anakin should get to tell people he's a master at the time of 3 even though the council didn't think he was at that level yet? I think he basically proved they were right. The Porkchop Express said:
My point is that the order shouldn't decide whi is a knight. A jedi can determine what to call themselves.

What!? And my point is that she determined not to call herself a JediThe Porkchop Express said:

My point is that when there is no longer an Order or a Council, a person like Ahsoka or Luke could call themselves what they wanted. Luke tells Jabba via hologram that he's a "Jedi Knight and friend of Captain Solo." Well Yoda didn't make him one and neither did Obi-wan, so it's just Luke adopting that title for himself.redline248 said:Why shouldn't they? Genuinely curious. I already said that, earlier...but what the hell is the fun in that?AliasMan02 said:
OR, you nerds, Jedi Knight is the term they can use that's clearest in intent to the broadest audience, without having to split all these hairs.
