And when that finally aired, you'd have one group saying no one asked for this backstory show, and another group saying Star Wars needs to move on from the Jedi/Sith that we've seen so much of (surely there are more interesting stories to tell out of this huge galaxy???)

At the end of the day, if you write it well and film it well, then you can tell any story.

That Dooku arc is the best prequels era stuff, maybe ever. Up there with the Siege of Mandalore. Just absolutely critical backstory told brilliantly.

The best of all the new canon novels are probably the Alphabet Squadron books. The Aftermath books are good but only if you're doing audiobooks... the author's style is almost unreadable.

Tarkin ain't bad. Went back and reread the old Zahn trilogy recently, may not be canon anymore, but still a good read.

The story kinda mirrored the novel but was different. She fought Sixth Brother in the novel but this isn't the same guy. Not clear if they reconned the novel (which already had a lot of retconning done about Maul and the Siege of Mandalore) or if it's a separate thing. Not sure it really matters.
