I have to imagine that we will see some of those characters again. The epilogue was well done though open ended enough imo for some of them to return down the line.

Rumor is that lesson three is being saved for Episode IX with Force Ghost Luke and Rey. Might have been something Abrams requested Johnson leave out, same as Johnson making a request or two to Abrams.

Just saw this. I'm intrigued.

And it will be for Disney's direct-to-consumer platform (the Netflix challenger). That one be one heck of a way to debut that platform with desirable content.

I think they've announced that there will be three series, at least one live action. One animated can be assumed. All also assumed to be on the new streaming service.
