With Rogue One having just passed $1 billion worldwide, the Star Wars series has now grossed a total of $7.4 billion and is now just a billion behind Harry Potter for the #2 spot of the highest-grossing film franchises of all-time. (Keep in mind this is with one less movie and with the OT being unadjusted for 40 years of inflation.)

MCU is still well ahead but it has 14 movies in its franchise. Probably won't be catching up to that any time soon.

Jedi could also be plural, so it could mean all of them.

So was 'Jedi' singular or plural in Return of the Jedi?

I'm a fan of the clean look they're giving the new titles, with all the logos matching each other and using the classic Star Wars logo. I do not miss the episode numbers in the logo.

Luke could die and leave Rey as the last Jedi.... or Kylo (red font) could turn to the light side and be a jedi.

So, assuming for the moment that this is about Luke...he really failed after beating the Emperor and saving Vader. Yoda told him he'd be the last one and to pass on the knowledge. So 30 years after the Jedi returned to the galaxy, he's still the last one.
