Not owning all Star Wars movies.

I'm positive this was discussed somewhere in this behemoth, but has anyone read the latest Star Wars: Aftermath novel? I'm in need of a new audiobook was looking at getting it, but the reviews aren't very good. I read several from audible.com, and a lot seemed to be uber fans still upset about overturning the EU or getting away from what they felt should be canon.

So, anyone have any opinions on the novel? I'm not too concerned if it gets away from what people have come to love about the EU and don't care too much what direction it goes - if it's a good story and in the star wars universe I'd be excited to give it a listen. But if it sucks, it sucks, and I'm fine staying away.

Most all reviews I've seen on this thread say it's a decent story that is horribly written.

I thought it was both horribly written and a bad story. There is next to nothing of importance for anything relating to the main movies. It really was a waste of time. There is another book called lost stars I think... It's advertised as a more "teen drama" type book, but it actually details events from the battle of Jakku... You know, actual stuff that matters for the movies. It's the best new Star Wars book I've heard.

I still think Ren and Rey are related after seeing trailer and posters....just not positive on parents.

I think it will be revealed in this movie... I suspect that is why Kylo has his mask off at the end, to reveal himself to everybody. So much unknown... Bravo Disney and JJ. I remember a year ago we said there was no way random crew members, etc. would not leak the entire movie by the summer.

About 12 minutes of released Battlefront footage here (the dork stops talking after a minute or 2).

Best part is Han and Leia casually taking down Palpatine on Endor.

A friend of mine said watching the first republican debate with Trump on stage was like watching that youtube clip. The field is having one conversation about policy nuance, how to win the election, etc. and then you hear "time's up, Donaaaaaaald Trump."

I don't care your political persuasion (this guy is republican as hell for what it's worth), I laughed my ass off at that comparison.

My kids are getting into the hype now. All three are playing with old Star Wars toys and legos together. The new lego sets actually have laser guns that shoot little blue laser pieces. Not fair. We had to use our imaginary lasers back in the day.

I don't know, I'm a little partial to "Nemesis" and "I was Seventh!" Both are probably known videos to car guys, but Nemesis is probably the more enjoyable of the two.

But just to bring this back around to Star Wars, here is the Executor meeting its fate.

Been trying to figure out the "of Ren" thing. Saw the latest rebels episode last night. Thought it a coincidence that the episode was about getting supplies for the people on the "planet of Rinn". Did a double take when i heard that. They spell it "Rinn" on wookipedia. Still, really coincidental.
