I literally heard "Hello, what have we here?" looking at Glover's face.

Honest question:

How many of you could look totally dope rocking a Donald Duck shirt?

Glover is cool AF.

I just looked at YouTube and saw that they'd put up the latest trailer for Battlefront II. I skipped on the first, but the last bit of the trailer has some new stuff that looks to be from the campaign. Which may have convinced me to buy it just to play through the story.

I'll take a campaign, even if the only option is Empire.

All I want is a skirmish mode for every multiplayer game type.

We as an audience shouldn't even be "worrying" about IX yet, we haven't even seen VIII! That's a clickbait over-reactionary critic.

There is pretty much no chance Disney will let it suck

We've talked about this before, but I would really like to know what Disney saw in Trevorrow to give him such a huge job. Yes Jurassic World made a ton of money, but I don't think anybody really thought it was a cinematic achievement. While Rian Johnson didn't have a big resume, his credits were high quality & widely respected.

TCTTS: do you think it's too late in the process for Disney to pull the plug on Trevorrow? I think they start production in January.

To be fair, I wouldn't consider ANY of the star wars movies to be cinematic achievements either. The original trilogy was groundbreaking in special effects and was really fun to watch. Jurassic world wasn't groundbreaking like Jurassic Park, but it was definitely fun.

I get what you're saying, and that's probably how Disney looked at it. My personal preference though is for these movies to be a bit more. Similar to Nolan's execution of the Batman trilogy vs. the run-of-the-mill comic book movies.

Yea, I was worried as soon as it was announced he would direct a Star Wars movie. Jurassic World was everything that is wrong with big budget hollywood movies. It was dreadful (IMO). No soul, just cookie cutter eye porn with 0 charisma or style. I just hope he's given plenty of 'help' for Star Wars.

If they are going to change directors for IX, I'd like to see Gareth Edwards jump back in. R1 looked, sounded, and felt more like Star Wars than anything since the OT.

Trevorrow has been developing Episode IX since August 2015. And that includes what sounds like a major rewrite after Fisher died in December. With that much time and effort put into this thing so far, and with shooting set to begin in January, I just don't see how'd they'd ever replace him. They would have to do so in the next couple of months for it to be even possible, and even then, I don't think bad reviews on his latest are anywhere near enough to justify such an action. For better or worse, we're likely stuck with Trevorrow to conclude the trilogy.

I'd argue that it did have some heart, but that's about 96% due to one ridiculously likeable lead.

It's a fun popcorn flick, but certainly not a great film by any means.

I'm relatively certain that IX will be a huge ensemble adventure that takes us into a new part of the galaxy. Episode IX may well be the end of Phase I of the Star Wars universe, to use the Marvel parlance. With that mindset, I understand the CT hiring after the success of JW.

So we're just going to pretend that Book of Henry is crap because he was too busy planning IX to care, right?

Just go and ask exclusively Star Wars questions.

"A critic said Episode IV will suck because this movie was terrible. True or false?"
