I don't think many people consider the body of work of Lost to be great. I think that people think the first few seasons were great, before it became apparent that they didn't really have a plan and were just sort of making it up as they went. Ultimately they were unable to bring about any real closure to the various storylines. For a mystery show, that's a very real failure. It's like a whodunnit where the writers don't actually know who the culprit is and just implicate everyone before finally just picking one at random.

I haven't seen Lost, so unfortunately I can't weigh that into the equation (Just like I can't for JJ). All I can do is base my opinion on what I've seen and the only credit of his I've seen and haven't hated is Into Darkness.

And I get what you're saying about Cowboys and Aliens, but tons of movies are saved or destroyed in editing and during rewrites. Without being any kind of an insider, I can only go by the final product and final credits.

Pretty much sums up my feelings on Lost. Fun show, great premise, interesting storylines, lots of intrigue... and intrigue... and more intrigue.... and finally, a lot more intrigue with a half-assed resolution.

Not particularly well-written or well-directed, just interesting.

Just announced, Andy Serkis' character is officially named Supreme Leader Snoke, and has been revealed to be motion-capture (surprise, surprise). So, between his character and Lupita Nyong'o's, that makes two prominent characters in The Force Awakens who are motion-capture, one good and one bad (Serkis' character seems to essentially be the Palpatine of the new trilogy)...

This has gotta make Serkis the highest grossing actor in history right?

Putting it in perspective, Serkis' blockbuster resume is INSANE...

- THE LORD OF THE RINGS + THE HOBBIT TRILOGY (major villain)
- THE (NEW) PLANET OF THE APES TRILOGY (major protagonist)
- STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS (major villain)
- MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE (minor villain w/ a more prominent role to come)
- KING KONG (played King Kong + a normal human)

By the end of 2019, assuming Serkis' character lives 'til Episode IX and Infinity War Part II (the later of which admittedly isn't likely), he'll have been in...

- 6 Lord of the Rings/Hobbit movies
- 5 Marvel movies (with a minimum of 3)
- 3 Star Wars movies
- 3 Planet of the Apes movies
- 1 King Kong

I don't see how anyone else can top that, but I may be wrong.

Jackson has been in all the Marvel movies except the last one plus 3 Star War movies. Serkis may pass him eventually, but he's not there yet.

I'm guessing he's in Civil War in a relatively small role like Age of Ultron and then is the big bad for Black Panther where he'll definitely be killed.

Yep, exactly. I'd be shocked if he lives past Black Panther.

Wow, never would have guessed that Elizabeth Banks, of all people, would be in the top 20. A bit part in the first three Spider-Man movies + The Hunger Games will do that, I guess.

That is pretty random.

I don't really count voice actors either, or Stan Lee, so she should be even higher.

Having a 1 sec cameo or a line of dialogue in a film should not count in that regard. I didn't even know she in the original spiderman movies

That would apply to Serkis to some extent as well if we're being honest.

Not that he doesn't contribute a lot to the performance of his characters, but his motion capture performance is a LONG way off from what people see in the final film.

Ron Howard keeps his brother, Clint, in the top 100 almost single-handedly.
