I think the four years, twelve episodes, three-episodes-per-year thing will hopefully yield a number of "guest stars" like this. I doubt Mendelsohn is in it a ton, as I'm guessing he has a little arc during one of those three-episode stints, though who knows. But if so, it makes it easier for guys like him to show up, knock their part out, then peace out.

Finally watched Kenobi...

Wasn't 1/10 horrible but maybe a 4-5/10? lots of things I didn't understand:

1. Why is Ben so bad with the Force? Did he cut himself off and needed to find it again? This wasn't apparent.

2. 10-year old Leia looks like she's 5 and half the size of her twin brother Luke

3. Grand Inquisitor just comes back after a lightsaber to chest? Wtf?

4. After he survives a lightsaber to the chest, he and Vader give 3rd sister a lightsaber to the chest and just walk away... yeah right

5. The drop ship has a hyperdrive? Why even make it a drop ship?

That and a bunch of bad acting and bad casting...

The final battle was pretty cool.

I think Ashoka really lost its way after they travelled to the new planet.

Thought it started pretty good, but they burned a lot of time with awkward slow dialogue and filler.

I liked Ahsoka but agree with many that you shouldn't have to do homework (watch clone wars and rebels) to enjoy the first season of a show

As a father of boy/girl twins that is not crazy. My daughter shot up over my son at about 10 or 11 years old. At almost 15 my son has surpassed her.

Understood but I have a 10, 8, and 6 year old - all daughters - and she moves, speaks, and behaves like a 5-7 year old.

Just looked it up and the actress was born in June 2012; so if this was shot in 2020/2021 for 2022 release... she was 8 or 9 at filming...

To be clear I thought she was alright in the acting and delivering her lines / emotions; just looked and behaved too young to pass as a 10 year old.

For me it was never about the Luke having that character arc on and of itself. It's a good arc! Tells a great story and the payoff was cool at the end. The issue was that we hadn't seen our hero, the guy who we last saw become the embodiment of Jedi ideal, in decades. We'd waited so long for the opportunity to see our guy with full blown Jedi Knight/Master abilities stunting on hoes and that was what we got instead. Hypothetically if the end of Mando season 2 and boba fett stuff had come before Last Jedi I bet people would have accepted it a whole lot better.

All fair/good points. Given the reality, though, I just don't see how they would have been able to pull anything like that off.

Overall, I'm on the fence. On one hand, the people who constantly b*tch about Abrams and Johnson doing what they did to Luke, need to understand that they were simply honoring Lucas' original plan.

But on the other hand, Luke could have still been disgruntled/no longer a Jedi... and also have been in scenes with Ficher and Ford in Episode VII. He didn't have to be secluded on some island.
