I don't view Carano as some nut, and if she actually has a case, more power to her. The world was batsh*t back then, and maybe now, with some perspective, she had a point (if not somewhat misguided). Either way, personally, I just prefer all that discussion, and where it inevitably leads, not saturate the Star Wars thread for weeks/months on end. That's it.

I got to Zoom with an ILM FX guy thanks to my brother contacting Disney after my car accident in 2016. the ILM guy had also been in a traumatic wreck earlier in this life that left his face badly scarred. I couldn't imagine how much lack of enthusiasm I would have for a second season of Kenobi when season one was first announced.

For the record, it's highly unlikely that Empire would announce a new season for Disney. Either Disney would just do that themselves, or one of the trades (Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, etc) would run the announcement. I suppose there's a first time for everything, but I'm assuming this is something else.

I am betting it is about Bad Batch Season 3 or announcing the kickoff the the 25th anniversary of the prequels .

it was already announced Ubisoft is saving news about the Outlaws game for May.

i think anything to do with the rest of the 2024/2025 slate will be saved for a formal announcement (May the 4th) - not something covered by Empire alone.

IMO I do not think Disney would be advertising either of those shows during the Super Bowl. Not the right audience for those shows with their very limited appeal.

We know they are showing their 100th Anniversary spot, which has already been released. And they are likely adverting Deadpool as it is their big movie for the year.

Just FYI, as of now, neither one of those shows are credibly rumored to have trailers during the Super Bowl. We pretty much know what's coming on Sunday, with a possible surprise or two, but neither have been seriously mentioned as a potential surprise. I'm not saying it can't or won't happen, but there would almost assuredly be stronger rumors at this point. That, and the "Hello there...." heavily implies something Obi-Wan related. It seems misleading to me that such a specific reference would be for something Star Wars related that's not Obi-Wan, but who knows...

Exactly. Disney's Super Bowl spots are all but officially set to be Deadpool 3, Inside Out 2, and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. There's a rumor that a fourth surprise spot could be Alien: Romulus, but I don't buy it. The only Star Wars anything Disney has ever premiered during the Super Bowl was the very first spot/footage for Solo in 2018, which was obviously a movie. A show just feels too small for this stage.
