supposedly there's going to be a story line where the Tea Party is claimed to be targeting and persecuting liberals

given the past month, that should be fun for reaction

Almost sure this was leaked by HBO to drum up attention. The Girls vs Veep treatment has shown that a controversial buzzy show in the news is more valuable for their model than a solid and more watched show with zero real buzz.

Almost through rewatching the first season- it's held up well for me. In spite of its glaring flaws (which entertain me rather than annoy me), there is a solid show buried under here that I really like.

More Sloan and Don please.

We finally finished watching it last night. We had watched the first 9 episodes this spring On Demand, but then HBO pulled the episodes before we watched the season finale.

I was really happy with the season and I liked the finale with the exception of Will going off on Voted ID laws. That was really Sorkin shining through and seemed very out of character for someone as supposedly smart as Will. But maybe that's just me because while I think that Voter ID laws are largely unnecessary, most of the arguments against them are laughably weak.

Looking forward to it starting back up in a few weeks.

I've sold my girlfriend on Aaron Sorkin. I think its time I start her on a steady diet of West Wing. I'm really excited to watch WW from the beginning with someone that's never seen it before.

I really did not care for Emily Mortimer before this but I finished the first season this week and she was absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to seeing the fallout from the American Taliban comment.

I thought it was really good.

Enjoyed the newsstories from current event as the backdrop for the personal drama and laughed at loud or at least chucked to myself at the irony and comedy.

Excellent acting, realistic stories.

I think Greek theater, William Shakespeare himself and most all the great writers and screenwriters of the past and present would be entertained also.

Top notch TV entertainment and even better for me on disc, so I can watch on my own schedule.

Loved it. Interested to see where this season goes- apparently Sorkin jacked up this Genoa story and they had to scrap a couple of episodes to try to salvage it (so the season will only be 9 eps). Refilmed most of the first few eps.

Attorney conference room scenes are classic Sorkin.

Interested to see the take on Occupy as that looks to be a multi-episode arc.

Don/Sloan set up as expected. Hope he doesn't soften Don too much. He was a little less jackassy, which would lessen the fun.

"I make nerds look good."- Munn remains my favorite part of this show.

Will singing "Friday" made me laugh more than it should have.

Thought the first episode was great and I even had some laugh-out-loud moments which I don't really remember experiencing in the first season, as much as I enjoyed it.

So glad this show is back on

When Will "first met" Jerry in his office was classic. Will had no idea who this guy was and why he was there. All he knew was he was trying to change his show and he did not want that.

I was a little underwhelmed with the first episode but not enough to keep me from watching it. I'm sure it will pick up in the next couple of episodes after the plots and storylines are developed.

Any one still watching? Haha.

I thought the last two episodes have been the best in the series.

So one of the reporters gives a reprimand to the rest of the team that they're being too nice to Obama and like him too much....

....while arguing for a story that turns out to be fake.

It's like Sorkin doesn't have a self aware bone in his body.

I haven't watched Sunday's yet, but I'm sticking with it. It looks like it will continue to run its course. There's enough Sorkin-y bits of goodness in there to keep me happy.

I'm glad Will dumped Nina. She sucks. And Jerry Dantana is about the least likable character ever on this show, and that's saying something (Reese Lansing).

Eh, I like Reese. He's supposed to be a ******.

Still love this show. Don't care about what makes it easily hatable.

Still love Sorkin's idea of "comedy".

Still love Sloan.

How can you say Sorkin doesn't have a self aware bone in his body when he gives us a Sloan nude photo scandal?

Constance Zimmer should have a 4 episode arc on every show on TV.

Interested to see the Genoa blowup (though the basketball game in the background of the doctored interview makes it obvious how its going to happen).

"The better point is, we don't need clean air and water regulations, we don't need FEMA, we don't need anti-trust laws, we don't need the IRS, or the Department of Education, or the Federal Reserve. We. Need. Freedom."
"What the **** did you just say?"
"If you'd just listen to Ron Paul..."

Reese is not unlikeable. Hell Will is becoming unlikeable.

As cheesy as they were, I miss the inspirational endings from the first season...the UAL pilot, Rudy, the Gabby Giffords ending etc. I understand this season is a bit darker with the plotting, but those were always Sorkinesque.

Sloan is by far my favorite character... can't believe I forgot to mention that.

Side question-- which Olivia do you prefer?

Munn or Wilde?

I usually go with Wilde, but Sloan's character is almost enough to make me rethink it

Fantastic episode tonight. The last few minutes were some of the best this season.

And honestly, any episode without a love triangle subplot is good for me.

***Spoiler Below****

I did think the basketball clock was very predictable (so much so that I told my wife that's how it'd be caught when he originally edited it)

***Ok. Carry on.****

So mgh basically agrees he needs to resign, then comes in 5 minutes later and agrees he doesn't, Leona spends the first season hell bent on forcing him out but now won't accept his resignation?
