We always knew that Walter's mind was a crazy and chaotic place and now we confirmation. I thought this episode actually worked. Esther and Broyles can really sing.

Is this episode worth my time? I made it 5 minutes on hulu before I turned it off.

Walter is definitely one of my favorite characters on TV right now, but I gotta admit - I turned that **** off about 10 minutes into it last night. I figure I'll get back to it sometime, but definitely wasn't in the mood for it at the time.

i kinda watched last night but played words with friends the whole time. i just dont get why shows are doing these fantasy episodes. bones did one a while back too, and it was wierd.

Thought it was great insight to Walter's mind. I bet there were more clues in there than we realized.

It was one of my favorite episodes.

I went into it thinking it would be stupid but it actually worked quite well. There really wasn't much music in it for a "musical". Wasn't my favorite but there were some really nice moments.

This was nowhere near the random absurdity that the Bones episode was.

Does anything actually happen in the episode? If not I'll probably skip it. If I wanted to watch a musical with no plot I'd watch Glee.

I freaking loved it and nearly died when the singing corpses sat up. And i agree with whoever said there were probably a lot of clues in this episode. Plus - it was nice to see Olivia and Astrid with make up on and looking spiffy for a change. They clean up nicely.

I wanted to not like it because it was a filler, an episode that did not advance the storyline one bit, but I couldn't help it, I liked it.

The singing corpses were great fun and should have lasted longer.

The insight into Walter's mind was interesting.

It was fun.

Watch the one from two weeks ago and then watch this week's episode. Last week's episode was pointless in the grand scheme of things.

I am loving the direction this show is heading, but hope it doesn't get too out there. This particular episode reminded me lots of an old X-Files episode - being somewhere out in a heavily wooded area, shapeshifters, unnecessary flashlight shots into the camera, etc. I loved it, and the final revelation at the end is going to really take the show to a whole new level (I hope!)

Amazing show. Amazing episode. If you have a DVR, go back to the scenes set on the other side and pause some of them. There are so many details that are different that you can't even see in real time. I can't believe they went to so much trouble to do that when most people won't even see the differences.

Check out the US map on Walternate's wall.

I have several episodes to catch up on my DVR, but I will be sure to look at those details.

I loved the Statue of Liberty in Walternate's world.

I missed the map, will have to check the DVR.

Not sure how I feel about last night's episode. Honestly it felt to me as if Fox said "You all are done, so start wrapping it up this season." because we went from 0 to 60 with the other world.

- It was kind of weird to be dumped into the other word. We've just been given peeks and glances and then BAM, the whole world.

- One minute nobody knows about more Cortexifan children and then black FBI guy is like "Actually we have some more and we've been training them." What? Seems like he would have shared that information sooner. Seemed like an overly convienent plot device.

- "I know you. You're the man that experimented on us. I could kill you where you stand." I laughed at that because it came off as really bad acting, but I think it was just his character.

- ZFT being written by Walternate was something we knew but seemed like a big reveal to just throw out there.

- Peter reunited with his mom. Again a huge moment that was just thrown out there. THis could have been it's own episode.

- Walter getting shot

Great episode and great show, but like i said it just felt weird to all of a sudden be thrown into the other side.

I love when they put those details in a show or movie. It says they are really commited to a great product, and for those of us that notice it makes it great. that is why I love watching shows like this several times through. You always find something new that makes the show even better.

The thing is when stuff like this is left out it seems like a glaring mistake, but maybe that is just me. stuff that 90% of the people won't see when it is there just make the show look sloppy when it is left out.

Actually to the poster above my other one, both walters helped write the ZFT. the difference is in one world it is a widely accepted doctrine (implied by the knowledge that alt olivia had of it and the fact that it was a paperback book).

Regular Walter and Bell wrote the original universes ZFT. What I am wondering is what the hell happened to Alt Bell. Something in the back of my mind is saying that either Alt Walter killed him off, or there was a similar situation to what happened to regular walter that resulted in pieces of brain being taken out.

Even though they appear to be revealing alot of things from the other dimension, it does not mean the show is almost done. Shows like these take different plot directions all the time.

How exactly are the "all done"?

With the exception of the strange introduction of the other cortexifan kids, I didn't see anything unusual about this one. They've spent a long time building to all of this. They've got to break through and show the other universe in larger context at some point. You can't spoon-feed it forever.

I think he means they are all done for the season?
Jim01
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I just meant it felt like a ton of info coming from this show which usually spoon feeds it's reveals to us.
Fenrir
How long do you want to ignore this user?
There was quite a bit revealed in last season's finale IIRC. I think that's a pretty typical pattern for tv shows like this. Spoon feed for most of the season and then hit you hard right as they finish the season so you want more and can't wait for the next season.

Just got a good look at the map on Walternate's wall. A few differences that I noticed:
* California has a huge chunk missing. I think the western portion might still belong to Mexico.

* North & South Dakota are one state

* W Virginia never split away from Virginia

* Texas was split into North & South Texas

* Canada was given the upper peninsula portion of Michigan instead of the US.

* The red dots indicate quarantine areas. Couldn't read the other portion of the map's legend but I'm sure it has something to do with locations where the pattern has occurred. A good portion of New Jersey (appears to be in close proximity to where the Hindenburg crashed) and western NY is under quarantine (was the cabin where Walter took Peter in western NY? Can't remember). The greater Boston area is under quarantine as well. Also, the area near Los Alamos, NM is under quarantine. I wonder if that has something to do with all the testing (Manhattan project, hydrogen bomb testing, and God knows what else they've developed out there) that has been done out there in our universe.

* I wonder...since they had no idea who Andrew Jackson is, I'm guessing Jacksonville (where the drug trials happened) was never renamed when the US acquired Florida. Did the Civil War even happen?

* No Alaska and no Hawaii. Guessing Russia still owns Alaska.

I'm sure I missed a lot of other items as well since there weren't many good looks at it.

Andrew Jackson could still have been the president. The point I saw was that they just changed the currency and then alternate Olivia acted like a typical American and didn't know history.
Fenrir
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I think it's more likely that Jackson was never president. I don't think he ever became a main public figure because the Civil War never occurred in that world. My belief for this is based on the fact that in the other reality West Virginia never seceeded from Virginia after the state voted to seceed from the Union.

There were (I think) a couple pretty big plot holes.

1) When Altivia made the switch with Olivia. William gave Olivia the grenade; Altivia didn't know about the grenade. So, there's no way that she could have discussed the grenade's explosion with William.

2) Altivia could've just shot everyone in the opera house before transporting back. Walternate would have him son. Problem solved.

) Also, I doubt Altivia could have known about the typewriter
