I was sunk by a torpedo - that's right, a mother F***ING torpedo. And we're not talking modern day US Navy professional torpedoes, I'm talking about 1915 German U-Boat homemade "Let's bundle all this sharp explosive stuff together and fire it at that ship and see what happens" kind of torpedo.


And not only that, part of my cargo was in fact military in nature - 4,200,000 rounds of Remington .303 rifle cartridges, 1250 cases of shrapnel shells and eighteen cases of fuses!!! Here in Purgatory there's not much to do except post on bulletin boards (we just got these a couple of years ago!) and watch TV.

Really, being just a farm boy turned deckhand turned lake debris left so many experiences out there that I missed. I would like to thank Karl A.
