Looks like he is ok and recovering which is great news.

His lawyer is claiming he was being blackmailed for $500K over a sex tape that someone was threatening to release.

From what I gather a former opener for his show had a copy of the sexually explicit tape on a USB and was threatening to submit it as evidence in ongoing litigation between the two, thereby making it public and available to anyone. He emailed Carrot Tops attorney and said he would not submit it in exchange for $500k.

Well we know it's not a sex tape with Alexandra Daddario or Sydney Sweeney. If I had one of those floating around and someone was blackmailing me to keep it private I would threaten to pay them not to keep it private. I would pay them for an 8K copy.
