My dog is better behaved and not nearly as loud as most people's kids. Could we also ban people from bringing kids into stores so us non kid having adults can enjoy our shopping?

Just came back from Home Depot and no dogs sighted. Just a bunch of hard-working people buying things to get sht done instead of folks who get separation anxiety if they don't have their dogs with them.
You'd be surprised just how smart are some of the folks that work at Home Depot. Next time you go in ask some of the "older" folks what did they do before they came to HD. You'll find lots of retirees who are sitting on mountains of quid with a comfortable retirement in front of them. Some of them treat it as a second job while working from home at any hour they want while taking off for four hours a day to "play". They just want to get out of the house... socialize... kill some time...mrad85 said:
If your Home Depot is like mine, any dog you may bring into the store is probably smarter than any of the folks working there.

Don't ask me how I know.
It was the customer service people I was suggesting were smart.mrad85 said:JamesPShelley said:You'd be surprised just how smart are some of the folks that work at Home Depot. The floor folks aren't too bad, it's the cashiers/customer service I was more referring to.
The public is not supposed to interact with service animals. They are working animals.histag10 said:WES2006AG said:
I should NEVER have to interact with someone else's dog in public. Anyone who can't make it through Home Depot or anywhere else without their dog should be publicly ridiculed until their behavior changes.
I assume this statement excludes people who have a service dog, and can literally not go anywhere in public without their dog.

This is the new "the best steak in town is cooked in my own back yard" response.

I love dogs, but I've never understood people that feel they have to take them shopping or out to eat.

I agree with you except at an outdoor bar on a nice day on a weekend. That is acceptable in my opinion. Would never bring my dog to a "restaurant restaurant" even on the patio but a bar that has brunch or something to eat is OK with me.

***** brought her ***** to the restaurant we were at Saturday. Nothing like dining al fresco with your yapping rat dog.
Yeah, I found that out the hard way once.Oldfart2 said:The public is not supposed to interact with service animals. They are working animals.histag10 said:WES2006AG said:

That's a terrible idea. Just leave the dog at home. It's the worst of the 3 options to leave the dog in the car, rather than both taking it into the store or leaving it at home. Sun / temperature / no air and all.Ol_Ag_02 said:Texker said:
I'm a dog person so don't mind dogs at HD, Lowe's etc. I'd much rather the owners bring them in the store than leave in the car.
I'm a dog person. And you should leave your ****ing dog in the car.
