My first week at a company (10 years ago), I had a sales rep bragging to me about winning the bid on a $3 million box sale which consisted of delivery of ~200 line items from ~30 different vendors to 5 customer locations throughout the US. After he turned the order in, my boss comes running out of his office to ask the rep where was the line item for shipping. The reps face turned ghost white and he said "I forgot to charge shipping".
As it turned out, shipping from ~30 vendors to different locations across the US cost more than the profit the company was due for "winning" this bid. Moron was fired and I got a good lesson about checking my work.
