It's amazing. Hanging out with service industry people I feel like I'm in an 80's movie about 80's stereotypes. Except instead of ranting about Wall Street mergers and acquisitions or something interesting, they're complaining about how slow the dinner shift was. Of Course, I think everything seems "slow" to them.

I can see the harassment angle. A manager took advantage of an underage employee (who was not at the age of consent), and began a sexual relationship. That underage girl would have never been in that relationship had chipotle not hired a pedophile.

Also, it says she was harassed by her supervisors (plural) at work. There is no mention to what extent that was and how many people. Also, there is no mention of whether or not this manager used his position to entice her into a sexual relationship (promise of promotion, threat of being fired, etc.).

Its hard to speculate without all of the facts.

When I saw the initial OP post I was thinking the same thing then I read where she was 16 and her Supervisor nailed her over 40 times and I believe the company is liable, not $7.65 million liable, but something.

Okay. #1 She can't legally consent to sexual intercourse with her 26 year old supervisor. HOWEVER, this happened outside of the restaurant. FORTY times. At what point did she tell her parents she was being harassed?

It sets a dangerous precedent. I think it's more likely that we'll see managers conspiring with employees to set up these situations and then splitting the payout.

Who cares if they get fired from a 40k/year job for sexual harassment if they can get a seven figure payday out of it?
