Newer supplements have fundamentally reshaped gameplay a couple of times in the last year. It's no longer about elite nimble fighters. Today it's more about assigning conditions to your opponent.

Damn that sucks. Sounds like it became less of a tactical fighter game and just a glorified card game

Two years later and this game is still awesome

I haven't played in over a year. Feel like it's now passed me by so I'll never pick it back up.
Same. The meta has completely changed and all the people I know that played casually are gone, so only the hardcore competitive folk are left methinks. Not my cup of tea.

I'm glad Bayside is still enjoying it. I was one of the competitive guys (and my name is in some of the rule books), but I stopped playing more than a year ago.

Rebellion is awesome, but it's not at all the sort of experience X-Wing was.

Long time lurker - can second this. I started playing really casually a couple years ago in the DFW area. Nowadays the meta has killed a lot of the back-and-forth feel and dice seem to matter less and less (especially the green ones).

Still might make it out for a regional or something this year. Where are y'all located at?

Even in nerd "sports", the millenials are winning.

If you're not astute enough, change the rules of the game to make your slow ass competitive.

What's next? Spelling bees where close enough counts?
