Maybe not IRL. But this is the GB, and if you can't handle it, don't post here.

Just think about us a family who is having a family reunion on the GB. We will bicker and fight and say mean things to each other, and sometimes we mean it and sometimes it's just our e-personas. But then we get out in to the real world and then we will stand up to those who talk sheet about our "family" (Aggies). My 10 and 6 year olds already have this concept down. They will fight with each other, but if an outsider comes and picks on one of them, it's ON.

1) ol' ags. hahahahahahahahah....bahahahahaa if you are going to be a dewsh and join a frat at least join a frat and not an organization taht wants to be a frat

2) the christian frats really dont come into play in this thread

3) dude calling non frat guys "not real aggies." way to continue the stereotype for why people dont like frats. Frats come second, or third or last in order of priority.

you don't post on the GB much do you. Fish Camp, FLO, CARPOOL, Corps, nothing is not made fun of. I was once made fun of for being in the undergrad entomology club.

It varies. The reason for dues are mainly to pay for the house bills as well as for philanthropic events (i.e. Wicked Woods).

Sorry rd I was not referring to you. And y'all are correct, I don't use the GB much. I ususally hang out on the athletic boards.

because at Texas A&M University, any group which exists to specifically alienate a group from the Aggie community is inherently detrimental to the network/community/sense of school-identification that current and former students have spent so much time building over the last 100+ years

the fact of the matter is that greek organizations are cliquey to the extreme of them being more likely to identify first with their frat/sorority before A&M. what's more important to you? your frat network or the aggie network? be honest

for the record, i associate with the school first and foremost.

Kappa Sig...Eesh. I had a buddy when I was in school that threw massive parties at his house that was right next to Kappa Sig. The charge was $5 per guy, to pay for Kegs and such. The parties were epic. Had Reggie McNeal show up and usually a few of the basketball team would come by as well.

Kappa Sig's were caught sneaking through the woods next to the house with empty Milk Jugs in their hands. They were coming to fill up their jugs with Keg beer from the party. Ever since then, I've held a fairly low opinion of Kappa Sigma "men"...



Oh, and fraternity dues go towards: National Dues, House repairs and costs, party costs, philanthropy costs, and member scholarships.
