Money paid to join a fraternity or sorority can be expensive, so it is a reasonable question as to why does it cost more than other orgs.
For one thing, most other organizations don't have their own houses or lodges, which can be very expensive. Our scholarship money was donated by a very wealthy graduate. It also pays for one scholarship to be given to a girl from each sorority every semester, but at a smaller amount.

Nationals is headquarterd somewhere in the U.S. (ours is in Virginia), and normally divide up chapters into districts (our district includes Sam, SFA, etc.). IFC (Inter Fraternity Council) is the Greek governing body at Texas A&M.
