Here's a cool article on the family, their parents ran track here as well! Cord missed his entire senior season after a football injury but should be all good now!

It will be interesting to watch if Cord can improve like Cutler did. He will have a great teammate and classmate with Andrew Jones to work with.

Looks like we got a good pool of sprinters. Anxious to see which ones rise to the top.
Unfortunately that 9.96 was with a 6.0 meters per second wind behind him. That's like a damn hurricane.
Feel like we've picked up a lot of depth pieces on the men's side but not necessarily any true difference makers yet.

Aggies add another female sprinter, Amirah Shaeed from Oregon. Little sister of Aysha Shaheed who's just competed her last year for the Aggies, and little sister to Seahawks Receiver and return man extraordinaire Rashid Shaheed.
Her bests are 60 - 7.38, 100 - 11.13w, 200 - 23.25, was on Oregon's 4x100 the last two years. Sprinting group on the women's getting stronger, needs more pieces 100-400

This is the son of THE Marion Jones and Obadele Thompson (Olympic bronze medalist, former NCAA 100/200 champion, 55 m world record holder).
He has only been running track since Spring 2024. He was a basketball guy before that. If he can stay healthy this guy is going to be incredible.
Quick google shows he went to t.u. then Arizona State, and now us? If so, I hate what college athletics has become. Glad he's with us this year though!
This isn't all on him. He was injured early/mismanaged at Texas then the ASU staff got fired.

Also said he ran on the ASU 4x400 relay at the big 12 championship that went 3:04 and finished 3rd so may be an option for 4x400 as well.
Royaltee Brown of Baylor has signed with the Aggies, another very strong female sprinter! Has bests of 60 - 7.24, 100 - 11.24, 200 - 22.93, awesome times and another piece for our relay

TSwift, how would you grade the women's additions so far?
Really great so far but I hope we're not done! We lost a lot of scoring power on the women's side losing Camryn Dickson, Jasmine Montgomery, Sofia Yakushina, Katelyn Fairchild, and Jaiya Covington. We added some automatic scorers in Molly Haywood and Indya Mayberry. The triple jumpers we added our national qualifying talent, and could move up to score. We bring back Morgan Davis and Lily Carlson, as well as our high jumpers and a talented freshman high jumper in Vojinovic. We'll have an awesome jump squad. Adding Mayberry, Brown, and Shaheed to go with Anya Jackson, Taylor Nunez, and Ariane Linton will give us another solid 4x100 and sprinting crew. We lose a huge javelin thrower, but added a great one and return most of our women's throwers. Hopefully we can load up more on the 400 side and add another distance runner. I think we still are able to add more pieces!
