I hate to say it, as Max Verstappen and his father Jos are two of the least likable characters in all of sports, but F1 is loads better when Max has a competitive car.

And most predictable thing ever when Max lost out to Lewis when they were fighting for position early was Max calling for a penalty and the stewards disagreeing. Never change Max.

He'd make a fantastic soccer player. Throw his hands up for offsides everytime a goal is scored regardless of where the scorer was.

I agree, and would go further to say that f1 would be must watch sports if Verstappen, Hamilton, and Alonso all had competitive cars.

I think you're good with the first two, but uh......not so sure about Alonso.

and its a shame. he's 44, and he's partnered with Tommy Boy in a car that's shaking him apart.

I know I'm probably in the minority, but I wanted Max to beat George. I like watching Max race and I am a fan. I think he's the best driver on the grid, just on a bad team this year, unfortunately.

I will say Kimi has been fun to watch as well. I've been very impressed with him these past two seasons.

I meant more so that I am a fan of Max. He's probably my favorite driver.

There aren't really many drivers I don't like, but I'm not a Lewis or Lando fan. Also, Stroll really needs to retire and just enjoy all the earnings he made (by thanking his dad).

I completely agree. But hasn't this year been a total curveball for a first time F1 team?

I'd love to see updates on how their engine development program is coming along as well.

Just got to the track and holy crap I have the best wife. She got me ignition club hospitality passes.

We actually parked in the inner track and people were lined up because it was the same entrance as the drivers.

I'll try and post some more pics as the weekend progresses

Beautiful view, great weather, historic venue.

Only thing is I hope you're a euromanlet sized dude. Those chairs give me PTSD flashbacks to Spa. I'm 6'5", 320 lbs, and had to fold myself into an accordion for 3 days.

I'm looking forward to the drivers parade on Sunday. They are bringing back the Lego cars except this time they are all going to be Kart style, top out at 25 mph, and all 22 drivers will have their own.

There's going to be so much carnage and chaos

You can probably find a few others:

-Max complains on radio that Lewis forces him off
-Sainz sings Smooth Operator in the LEGO cart since the Williams won't let him
-Checo/Valtteri brake fire
-Hadjar "destroys the car"
-LeClerc seat gets flooded
-Oscar gives position to Lando for no reason
-George complains that Kimi got a better cart
-Hulk gets his second podium

F3 sprint ended up being really good. Position changes all the way through the final lap and no yellow or red flags (shocking).


I also got to meet Alisha Palmowski who is currently leading F1 Academy

That was a great sprint race. Hamilton is becoming a real force again in the drivers championship.

It was also good to see Norris getting a podium. McLaren has had a tough start after winning it all last year.

F2 Sprint is currently on a safety car. Montoya went off on the main straight into the gravel and John Bennett followed him. He got absolutely showered by dirt and gravel, just disappeared into the cloud.
