Max was perfect on qualy. Perfect on the start. Perfect in the race. Never going to beat him like that. Especially at Suzuka.

Also can we give a round of applause for Lance Stroll? Taking his F1 car on a leisurely Sunday drive like it's his 1970 Alfa Romeo Spyder. Put the top down and not so aggressively hit the twisty backroads.

It's still really early but this could end up being a very competitive season. I am excited for it.

the WDC looks interesting but the races have all been bad imo. it's hard to defend China and Suzuka, both were very boring. Should have seen it coming based on the opening lap at Suzuka ...

The Max/Lando battle coming out of the pits may have been the most interesting part of the race. I don't think either did anything wrong there.

Is it not weird seeing Williams in 5th!?

Several reserves/rookies running FP1 this week.

Ferrari has Dino Beganovic (first)
Mercedes has Fred Vesti (2nd I believe, he ran Mexico City in 2023)
Williams has Luke Browning (2nd, first was Abu Dhabi)
Aston has Felipe Drugovich (I know he's done it before just dont know how many times)
Haas has Ryo Hirakawa (who was reserve for Alpine last week...i guess they just wanted PR)

I don't know all the details, but I know it's revolving around The FIA President. I think there's been a pretty decent mass exodus from Mohammed Ben Sulayem (MBS)

Yep. Nobody seems to get along with MBS. He ran on a platform of hands off F1(minimal interference) and focus on entire FIA. His recent push for bringing back V10/V8s is attempt to curry favor with the voting public.

if you have F1TV I strongly suggest checking out both F2 and F3 sprints. F3 sprint was great but the F2 sprint was mental. Drivers in the cool down room watching the highlights were even like "wow must've been a good race".

the final 2 laps after the SC in F2 were crazy

And Fred Slater in F3 scored P2 finish on his first weekend in F3. Wish he could just scrap doing FRECA and fill that AIX seat for the rest of the season lol

They only had hards and used softs. LeClerc pace is similar to Piastri.
