I think we match up well vs Michigan. Interested to see the side by side comparisons. Really hoping we can win the doubles point tomorrow.

Three of Michigan's starters are from Michigan and two are freshmen are from Norway and Las Vegas. Some of our girls played more indoors growing up, but have faced this kind of weather in September in College Station. The bigger difference might not be the heat & humidity; but outdoors vs indoors. Baylor's indoor courts are the closest thing we have to indoors, I doubt we drove up there for too many times for practices this winter. As of now the storms should start rolling in about the time of (if necessary) third sets again.


WORTH NOTING: The softball team will play at the same time, so some of the crowd will probably be back in aggieland.

Not expecting the heat and humidity to matter much in the doubles, but it could help us a bit with the singles matches. I can't believe the heat and humidity in Michigan, while technically similar, will be much the same as Waco.

Ashton Bowers from tu has transferred to Auburn

she was committed to auburn and maybe even signed with them initially but left when Auburn fired their coach last year she decommitted and signed with texas.

She probably would have stayed with that commitment if auburn had hired Jordan and announced it earlier in the spring.

Fact is Jordan is building a monster over on the plains.

Joffe recruits so well but he sure loses a lot of players. CKP and Ovrootsky are also transferring.

Jordan was not supposed to take our Texas transfer pipeline with him! Argh. He only loses Ava next year and has already added two players that are better than her.

Hopefully Mark has a top transfer up his sleeve. But that can wait - fortunately for us he has more important matters to attend to.

UNC doing well so far even with the changes they had to make.

Edit: Nevermind, Dawgs have woke up.

Georgia takes the doubles point fairly easily. Watching both of line 1 and 2 for Georgia..they don't do morning special. Just keep it simple. Especially line 2. Just crosscourt and move and anticipate.

I won't be surprised if there are 3 quick straight setters here.

Mell seems to be playing much better lately. She was a leaky point for Georgia for a while.

I really think UNC had a shot, but that injury to Reese was way too much to overcome. Dasha is cruising.

Today is the day we start to put it all together. Starting with a doubles point and a 1-0 lead!

Georgia wins 5 of 6 first sets in singles. North Carolina on won on court 4.

The good news is it looks like our match will start as scheduled at 1 pm with Georgia cruising.

Don't think so but play should begin at 1pm sharp.

You can also park in front of the Simpson Athletics Complex and walk over. Just don't park in the back and try to walk over the pedestrian bridge by the river.
