What I loved about today is that nobody folded. Pure heart and fight on every singles court.
Lulu was a little unlucky to lose that and the overrules made it to where she couldn't call close shots out.
Daria also has her opponent gassed. She would have taken that.
We've played Tennessee twice and lost a grand total of one singles match.

This team is just gritty. I don't think this is our most talented team but they just fight so hard. It's almost like they see a teammate go down and think ok well I have to win. You can see the gears shift. Great culture to be a part of. Lu loses her singles match, but Mia and Daria may have lost in straight sets had she not kept fighting. Incredible team effort.

The match was a lot closer than 4-0, with Oklahoma State looking like they could possibly win 3 matches, with 4 going the distance! But Michigan won the doubles point and took care of business.

Georgia plays at 10am again and we play at 1pm in the heat of the day. Seems fair. Ugh.
I felt we had the easier draw compared to Georgia but with the match times, Brantmeier out, and how well Tenn played compared to Duke, we definitely have the tougher path to the final. Georgia will cruise with no Brantmeier.
That's OK. Just how we like it.

I'm not of the fan of less rest but if we get to that Sunday match it'll be two heavyweights throwing blows back and forth! I'm actually a huge believer in all the little external factors and minute advantages a team can find, but in a championship match it's all adrenaline and heart!!

I really like the staff and team he has put together now. A couple of other-centered coaches just like him with quiet confidence that are willing to let others take credit & a team full of hard-working and gritty players who are not about self-promotion or social media attention.

Per weatherspark.com, there is a huge difference in both temp and humidity levels between Ann Arbor and Waco. I believe it COULD play a role in tomorrow's match. At least I'm hoping so!

The difference in that weatherspark "comfort level" is mostly attributable to temperature. Michigan is quite humid; they just have a lot more cooler days that are less miserable.whpjr said:
