4:09 mile for Cawthra, struggled to finish after stayin up to the whole race! Can't blame him after his big run yesterday!
Sometimes it is important to go all out early in the season and qualify for Nationals. Waiting till SEC wouldn't cut it. The times at SECs are sometimes very slow because the athletes have to compete so many times running in the qualifying heats and also relays. I am for qualify early in case of injury and other possible issues

i am longing for day when I could feel proud again about our sprint and hurdles. We are just not competitive at the moment. We are so far behind. It is hard sometimes to watch the sprint and hurdles races and A&M is not a factor. Almost every school now has great sprinters and hurdlers. These times in the NCAA are insane.

Yup been a rough day, we are nowhere near competitive in relation to the Florida's, Arkansas, Texas… and they have us beat in field events also… we just aren't that great compared to them… I hate it!

At least San Jallow ran great! A 2:07 in her first 800 is awesome!

A strong 7:57 3k for Casarez!

Over the years the Florida men's team has always been competitive but it's crazy how in the last couple of years the Florida women team has become an empire. They used to be competitive in a few events but now they can compete and score in every event which is scary

I am also proud of our freshman multi's Helms and Harris showed out in an event dominated by upperclassmen! This is the hardest event and they held their own finishing 10th and 11th! Once they get used to the throwing events and work on their weaknesses, look out! In 2/3 years we'll have 2 of the best multis in the nation!

Yeah the Multi guys did well. Blake did really great competing in his first multi.
I thought Landon left some points out there especially in the Pole Vault.

Heather Abadie opens up at 13'1! Maybe she's feeling it today and can go for 14

What a run from our "B" relay! 3:08

Cutler Zamzow - 48.1
Omajuwa Etiwe - 46.6
James Smith - 46.4
Caden Norris - 47.6

Great to see Etiwe running great again like he should and James Smith has been running like crazy this indoor season, I have been more impressed with him than almost every runner besides Casarez!

Not sure if Hanson is running, he didn't do the open 400 or 200 and Tierra Robinson Jones didn't make the trip for the ladies!

Schwartzman has struggled on the relays but ran well in the open 400, he really needs to go run a fast split today! Hopefully Hemphill can go under 46 again and maybe Robinson can join him! Not sure if last leg will be Hanson or Escobar

That's leave the A team as possible Hemphill, Robinson, Schwartzmann and DeMarco

Seems like all had a strategy to get up front very fast and all seemed to struggle at the finish besides Robinson but he got passed during the race.

Eric Hemphill - 47.01
Auhmad Robinson - 46.3
Demarco Escobar - 47.1
Ashton Schwartzman - 46.2

Slight improvement to a 3:06.7, but still might be on the bubble and not top 12

All 4 drop times 2 seconds faster than us… all had at least one go sun 46! We didn't have anyone do that. We are behind the top schools in an event we have historically owned… going to have to hope we attend a weaker meet to be in the fast heat and get a good lane!

this is what happens when our top 400 runners transfers to a rival and one of our others goes pro with 2 years remaining, when he could have used another year of college racing before training for Paris 2024

Only have one girls relay and I'm worried for them without Tierra Robinson Jones. Most likely will be a combination of Arnold, Wade, Jallow, Martin if she's good to go or Burr… going up against LSU, Florida, and Arkansas

All the other schools have kept their top athletes from going pro.
I guess another factor is the next Olympics is another year plus away so no need to go pro

Lane draw hurt us here. I think we could have been a half second faster if we weren't in lane 3.

Not mad at Miller for leaving. He made a World Championship team and took advantage of that even if he isn't ready to be a pro.

A&M men have the 14th best time .2 out of the 12th and last national relay qualifier spot. They are on the bubble but I think they will improve. Escobar ran well but James Smith will replace him. Auhmad and Schwartzman will both Improve. Hemphill had a bad lane and couldn't open up in traffic.

3:06.78 puts us 8th fastest in our conference but 14th in the nation.

Hemphill has some crazy speed! Sucked that he kept having his momentum stopped! In an open 400 outdoors he is running sub 45 this year!
