Seattle was relentless. They were a tough out. They blocked so many shots. It was crazy.
I wish there was someway we could bring back Oleksiak. Pairing him with Heiskanen would be an amazing defense.

Well done boys. Seattle was a solid team. We only had one more win than they did. Carolina looks like the class of the conference finals, but their uniforms look like their equipment manager took about 2 minutes to come up with something.

Dude, I liked Jamie when he was here but no way, he led to several goals for the Stars this series. He's not a a good defenseman. NIll will fix the 3rd pairing over the short summer.
There are some great storylines there. Obviously Vegas is good - they made the WC Finals as well. Stars were 3-0 against them this year though. And probably the most interesting angle is Pete DeBoer and his assistant Steve Spott were fired last year from Vegas and now have a chance at revenge on them in front of the hockey world.Grapesoda2525 said:

Vegas is going to very difficult to beat. They are playing great right now...their only weakness is potentially their goalie.
with that being said - if Hintz can stay hot and Jason Robertson can get back to regular season form, this team has the potential to win the series

For me, the X factor is the Stars intensity level. Two straight series where they didn't bring it every game. Last night you saw what peak Stars are capable of. If THAT team shows up, I like our chances a lot. Sure would help with a game 1 win this time.

I was hoping Vegas would get by Edmonton. If you look at the top 4 postseason scorers, it's Edmonton's top line and Roope. I just think we match up better against Vegas. Dallas will also have the special teams advantage over Vegas. I'm glad we get to miss Edmonton's historically dangerous and the whole circus that would ensue with "the Next One" McDavid and a Canadian team making the Cup push.Grapesoda2525 said:

Yes we were 3-0 against them during the season but 2 of those were shootout wins (which obviously don't happen this time of year). so might be in for some OT games this series.... glad the start times are decent.
The atmopshere at both places should be a lot of fun and I'd expect a decent amount of green to be in that Vegas crowd.
Hopefully we can get game 1. I think that noon (local time) start on Sunday is going to be a tough one seeing as how Dallas tends to sleepwalk through the first half of day games.

With Vegas being the northernmost team remaining in the playoffs there will be much gnashing of teeth and ink spilled in "traditional" hockey markets, and the ratings probably won't be that great but I don't care. The way the chips have fallen it's right there for the Stars to take it and banners fly forever.
Dream scenario, Stars win and Florida/Canes go to 7 games with Florida winning which would give Dallas home ice in the Final.
That's a big weakness to potentially have at this stage in the season.rsf0626 said:

Everyone is on Robertson about not getting goals but he has the 2nd highest point total on the team. A lot of those Roope and Pavelski goals were on Robertson assists. He's squeezing his stick too tight right now... if he can get an ugly or lucky one I think the floodgates may open.
Didn't get to see the game last night. Lindell/Hakanpaa got lit up in Game 6. Did DeBoer stick with them in Game 7 or shake it up?

Sunday Night Baseball and MLB bring in way more money than a NHL playoff game. It was either a late start for that game or a move to ESPN2, which I believe the NHL would be pissed because there is less coverage nationally on The Deuce. Hence why the split screen for the end of a MLB blowout and a pivotal game 6.
