Aggies land commitment from distance runner Kristen McHugh! She has a 5k cross country season best of 18:10! But ran a 17:34 as a sophomore as well as placing 15th at state! She had an off junior year that was cut short! But is bouncing back this year! In track her top times are from her sophomore year as well where she ran an 11:10 3200!

Aggies land in the top 5 for Prosper jumper Kayla Watson who has a long jump PR of 20'4! Which is awesome for a high school junior! We need some jumpers

That's such a great pick up!! She's gonna be a great addition to the distance squad, now we just need to get her teammate Maddie Jones! Our women's distance program is on the rise!
INCOMING!!! BOOM! Aggies land one of the top distance runners in the nation out of Prosper, Texas! Shewaye Johnson commits to the Aggies with a 5k cross country PR of 17:08!!!! 23 seconds faster than our fastest 5k xc time on our team! She has track PR's of 10:47 in the 2 mile and 5:06 in the mile! What a huge pickup for our distance team and she will contribute for us immediately!

What's more interesting is her life story! She bounced around orphanages in Ethiopia before being placed in the USA in Iowa then found a family in Prosper. From all accounts she is an amazing runner, but a better person!

Imagine if we had our own Aggie distance runner Melissa Gulli daughter here this year and then Shewaye Johnson next year.
Aggies land a strong pole vaulter from down south in New Braunfels, Texas! Caressa "Ella" Vajdos is a 13'3 vaulter! She placed 3rd at state in 6A and placed 6th at the Texas Relays! Can't wait to watch her compete this year, hopefully she gets over 13'6!

Aggies land in the top 3 of Kai Graves-Blanks out of California! As a junior he ran a 13.64 in the 110 hurdles! Would be a huge land! Auburn and Houston are his other schools!

Love how he looks up to Deon Lendore! He had a 46.7 400 PR and ran for Trinidad and Tobago in Eugene this past summer

Is this a quality pickup? I didn't keep up much with jumping outside of the high jump
Just looked it up, her PR would have placed her 7th in NCAA
Love the pickup and it's in a much needed area!! If she can come here and improve she could score for us!!! A 21+ jumper is always welcome! Only 3 of those girls in the top 7 return!

Expected faster times out of Lovejoy today. 57 degrees, perfect conditions compared to the 6A race. Maybe the track was a little muddy, but I would expect Southlake and Flower Mound to handle them pretty easily at Nike South. Also, not much depth at 6 & 7 for Lovejoy. Should be a good race, though, to see how they hang, with a trip to nationals for the top 2 teams. We lost to Lucas at McNeil, and lost one of our top 2 since then. But the other girls are faster. Hope Kingwood runs Nike South with the full team.
