Another name entered into the transfer portal that has Aggie ties is Siena Palicke. A distance runner from UCLA, who sparingly ran a few 1500's this year at 4:38. Her high school pr's were 2:14 in the 800, 4:54 mile, and 17:41 5k in cross. She's followed some Aggies and A&M accounts on social media and her boyfriend is an Aggie so that always helps haha

Landon Helms easily won the GWI 110H with 13.91 & pole vault with a jump of 16-8. Moved to 17-4 and had 3 good jumps at it but couldn't clear. 2nd place was 15-2. His coach tells me that he is getting onto some really big poles and hasn't quite figured out the timing yet but has been getting close to 18' jumps in practice. He is registered in the Decathlon & Championship pole vault for the Nike Outdoor Nationals.
Aggies land the 6A Triple Jump State Runner Up! 50'3 PR out of high school is impressive! Hopefully he can come in next year and go 51/52!
What's most impressive about Harris is how he improved 3 feet every year in the triple jump and improved his high jump by 6 inches in one year!
Florida lands Sean Dixon-Bodie out of LSU a 54'7 triple jumper, the rich get richer I suppose! Let's see if Pat Henry has an answer

Blake Harris long jump 23-6.75 and Jaden Harris triple jump 50' 3.75 are two really good recruit but may be need a year or two to develop into scoring threats for the Aggies.
I still believe we need a transfer or an international athlete in the long and triple jumps who can immediately score points. This is what Florida is doing. They are recruiting transfers who can score immediately for them.

I am guessing that snap is referring to a Landon Helms pulling out of the highs and vault and now entered in the decathlon ( along with Thatcher Frankfather another Aggie track signee. Frankfather has the best high school score, but may not make some lists because the set of TN replaces the javelin with triple jump) GREAT COMPETION IN EUGENE!!

A lot more transfer activity will soon become public! Let's see if we stick our foot in any of these possibilities! With National Championships and Junior National Championships going around hopefully our coaches are on the road scouting and recruiting

We don't have a sprint coach…

One of tu's top 400 runner Wilmington Wright is in the transfer portal and top distance runner Yaseen Abdalla might be in there as well!
He signed with Arkansas. We are being left way behind.
I saw that! What a bummer! I just hoped we had a shot cause he was friends with Carter Bajoit and a Texas product, but oh well! We do have two talented high jumpers coming in but we need to develop them to get them at a scoring level. And aside from Lamara Distin, our high jump production and development. Bajoit has improved an inch over 2 years, Andress, 2 inches (and doesn't come close to that PR when it counts), Mason Corbin 2 inches, Jake Lamberth less than an inch… not great! At least Bajoit shows promise, but needs more consistency and hopefully can get past 7'3+
We don't even have many horizontal jumpers to study progress but Deborah Acquah has shown improvement in the jumps year after year, but no one else.
Pole Vault I think we got a gem in Volunteer Assistant Joe Sarra and we will have a talented group of men next year in Zach Davis, Landon Helms, Jack Mann, Caleb Murdock, and Michael Schmuhl
As for throwing, we have Bryce who may only have one more track season left, two great female javelin throwers, and 2 great mens javelin throwers who have been hurt. No discus throwers, no shot putters besides Bryce, no hammer throwers, no weight throwers…

Has some solid times out of high school and solid potential, but has been injured way too much! But she's one of the most followed track stars across social media so good publicity for us lol

There is an article on milesplit.com today about the University of Illinois recently getting rid of their head track coach. The author of the article speculates about which direction the program should go and who the new coach should be. One of his choices is Milton Mallard of A&M. THAT WOULD HURT!
