After I celebrate throwers and hurdlers advancing to area, scout my area opponents, and finish my 3500 word paper on Title IX... you got yourself a report on our Aggie track signees! I feel like we all need an update on their seasons. I'll give us an update on them all. I already saw Camryn Dickson won her 100/200! Kate Ginther made it in the 800/1600. Joy Moorer and Landon Helms showed out at the Arcadia Invitational!

Poole is a 4:13 mile guy! Impressive! I'll keep an eye on him, Demarco Escobar, Kate Ginther, Kennedy Fontenot, and Jack Mann at the Region IV-5A Meet in San Antonio in two weeks!

A prospect to keep an eye on is Colton Harrison. He is the younger brother of freshman thrower Hunter Harrison. He is only a sophomore but is a versatile prospect who projects as a crazy talented Multi-Eventer. He is a throwing version of Landon Helms. He's a 15 foot pole vaulter and nearly a 160 foot discus thrower and has PB's of 15.3 in the hurdles and 19'5 in the long jump. As a sophomore. Hopefully the Aggie blood flows through him as well!

Aggies land another solid distance runner who was a state qualifier last year in Diego Heredia. My Godfather is his head track coach and has nothing but great things to say about him. He suffered an injury during cross country season. But ran a 4:18 mile and 9:18 3200 as a junior. He was expected to drop under 4:10 and 9:00 this year prior to his injury, but he's not risking his health and deciding to focus on his recovery for college. When healthy I expect him to add some depth to our distance squad on the track! Aggieland is getting a hard worker and great young man!

Absolutely! This could also be Achane's last year running track if he gets a high draft grade and jumps to the NFL. I would love to see us attack the transfer portal for a top tier sprinter, and I'm sure we will! Half of Florida's 4x400 came from the transfer portal! We have gone and got top 400/400 hurdlers from the portal, we need sprinters/100 hurdlers/jumpers, ASAP! coach Henry has a tendency to build his men's roster through the portal and girls through recruiting!

Taylor, I agree so many people in the transfer portal, it shouldn't be hard to get a couple of great standouts. Besides the portal there is so many D11 and Junior college athletes also to choose from. Florida, Texas have dominated the transfer portal options and now have the options of scoring in many events. We don't have Zhane Smith and Deborah Acquah next year so we need long and triple jumpers asap especially on the men side. A very good weight/discus/shot putter wouldn't hurt either on the women side either. While we have a great incoming class, one wonders how many of these would be ready to score immediately. There is always need for some experience athletes to go with the incoming freshmen.

Yes! I feel like we'll have more room to work with, we got two great transfers in AWP and Wise on the women's side. Hopefully we get some jumpers as well! Transfer Portal or International... we need some more scorers at the national level! Especially after the Tyra debacle and watching Florida rebuild their roster over night, I expect Henry and crew to go all out and motivated!
