Saw throws signee Hunter Harrison compete yesterday in the TAAF state games in discus and he won easily, but I came away more impressed with his size and the fact that he looks like he's already added muscle since I last saw him at the state meet! Going to be a great collegiate discus thrower!

There is a sophomore girl at my wife's HS that won the 5A 800m as a freshman. PR is 2:08 at state. I keep telling my wife to tell this kid nobody puts out better 800m runners than A&M.

I think the girl's parents are both former T&F athletes and Lovejoy seems to just send kids to Arkansas

Yikes, she's already got a strong 4x100. Thankfully thankfully they lost Jasmine Moore and Anna Hall! She doesn't have the 400 crew she had at USC we have to capitalize on that!

Aggies just landed a highly rated football prospect Bryce Anderson of Beaumont Westbrook that has PR's in the 100 of 10.48 and 21.2 in the 200. He has several track offers including Texas, LSU, and others. Not sure if he plans on running track here, but will be interesting to follow!

The 10.48 was with a +2.8 m/s wind...so about 10.63 adjusted. His best legal 100 was 10.72. Solid times for a junior, but I bet he concentrates on football in college.

Im sure it was hand timed by her sister who posted it, but Aggie signee and incoming freshman Teajha Badal who is a 100/200 specialist unofficially split a 52.1 on her AAU team's 4x400 relay!! Zero words for how amazing and surprising that is lol!

AHHHHH! Pat Henry your move is next

I heard Petros is moving to the Florida area, which is why Moore and Hall transferred there! Not sure about Serena Brown and Watson!! Petros coaching there couldn't help

Someone on Letsrun forum has indicated that our new coach is Kurt Henry nephew of coach Pat Henry.

"For 2 years before joining Wayland, Coach Henry was a volunteer coach and interim assistant at Texas A&M University where another uncle, Pat, is head coach. He primarily coached sprinters and 400 hurdlers and coached all-American long jumper Will Williams. The Aggies won the NCAA indoor men's national title before finishing as runner-up outdoors in 2017."

Don't know much about him other than his bio, but I'd love to know how he is as a recruiter! Texas has so much sprinting talent in 2022, and it is a must that we take advantage of it.

Let's wait and see if this is true.

With the '21-'22 roster poster still probably a number of weeks (if not months) from being posted a quick question. Any chance we'll see any new multi performers? With the recent success of both female heptathletes (Tyra Gittens, Annie Kunz, Jenna Hermenn) and decathletes (London Victor, Nathan Hite) just curious if the Ags are going to build on their success. Looking forward to seeing the roster. This board does a great job of finding out the new Aggies but it usually seems there is a surprise mixed in every once in a while too.

We haven't recruited any out of high school, but I can see a multi collegiate athlete see those successes and try to reach Coach Brady. I too would love to see another male multi on our squad!

Darn, figured he would maybe leave once his sister left. Never really got over the 50 foot barrier in the triple jump as he dealt with injuries. With him and Darius Clark in the portal... I wonder if Coach Brady and Coach Turner-Hairston have someone coming in???

Kurt Henry was indeed claimed by some poster as TAMU's next asst track coach. He is no longer listed on Wayland Baptist's coaching list. Their family legacy in coaching and track and field extends back 3 generations to 1911 where grandpa was once world's fastest man. This kind of legacy is a generational blessing. If Kurt is the new hire then we will rest in the blessing and allow the growth in place to occur but who cares what your resume states when God is demonstratively for you. Also I didn't realize Mallard was working with sprinters and relays. If this is a coach by joint committee then that may bode well. Like I stayed though, ...what can be against you if God be for you. Both Kurt and Mallard had previous stints with A&M as volunteer coaches with Sprint and long hurdles as Kurt's emphasis. Mallard's development in stride may bode well once again for Kurt. Grab the popcorn.

Interested in seeing his recruiting prowess especially in Texas which has an enormous amount of talent and many top athletes have opted to go out of state in recent times. We have not been able in recent years to attract any top sprint hurdlers both on men and women side from Texas

I would expect an announcement of Kurt as the next coach early this week. He has learned under the best and coaching at Texas A&M under Coach Henry is his dream job. He is going to bust his a$$ on the recruiting trail and will build workouts in conjunction with Coach Henry and Coach Mallard. I know he is excited and understands the expectations that go along with this opportunity. I think it is going to be a great fit for him and the team.
