That truck race was a joke LOL crash'em up derby. I had to turn off the charlotte race for similar reasons. Miss the mid 2000s races between benson, sprague, skinner, bodine, hornaday, and musgrave. That era was fun to watch.

Turned out to be a really good race today. Race ends just a few laps early due to darkness.

If it wasn't already apparent, we are fully into the transition to a new guard of drivers.

Chase, Blaney, Byron, Bowman and Bell seem to have all fully arrived. Chastain, Reddick, Custer and beginning next year Cindric will right behind them. The casualties will be the old guys.

It seems like in NASCAR, when the skills go, they just go real fast. Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson both just dropped off a cliff all of a sudden, and couldn't buy a win. The same thing seems to be happening to Hamlin and Harvick.

Yep. At the right track at the right time with the right equipment they can still get it done but the drop off is quick. Smoke was the same way too.

I gotta say that speaks volumes for guys like Mark Martin or Kurt Busch. Never the top drivers of their elite teams (maybe Kurt was real early) but guys who have proven they had the sheer ability to win into their 40s on their own.

I wasn't a big fan of the 2 week Olympics hiatus imposed by NBC.

Fun race today, awesome seeing Chase drive through the field so many times and Larson/Truex battle. Great driving performances throughout the field

Now this Indycar race on the other hand

Absolutely inexcusable the yellow wasn't thrown after Kyle Busch hit that curb on the first lap of that restart. Huge black eye for NASCAR

Yep great race. The last caution was too bad but that's racing. Good to see Blaney get the win over his sister's boyfriend.

Chevy is back but they still can't beat Ford in Michigan.

Last race before the Chase.

Xfinity up tonight. Michael Annett is 41 points behind Riley Herbst (12th) and Herbst is 25 points behind Jeremy Clements in 11th.

Cup has 1 spot up for grabs between Reddick, Dillon and the field. Reddick leads Dillon by 25 points. Regular season points title, and the 15 playoff points that goes with, is still up for grabs, but Hamlin has to hope for a poor showing by Larson.
