How does the on loan thing work exactly? Who pays what? Can the "owner" recall the loaner at any time? Or as with most things, it's on a case by case basis.

He's a Mercedes driver but under contract with Williams. Mercedes sees him as a strong future driver for their team. This is a great test opportunity for everyone. And I would assume Williams will be getting a decent payment/consideration from Mercedes in exchange.
