As a result of the huge amount of criticism following the first race it looks like ESPN will broadcast the remaining F1 races commercial free. That's all well and good but the announcers still suck.

Mercedes hasn't won a race and Williams and Force India are worse than last year.

Is something wrong with the Merc engine, or did Ferrari and Renault catch up that much?

I'm not ready to throw in the towel on Merc. It's a long season. Williams has been pretty bad in the aero department for awhile and Force India is in complete disarray due to their owner's financial scandals.

I agree. I do find it strange that Hamilton can't seem to get it going. The fact that Bottas has out qualified him twice is odd.

I'll be interested in how Ferrari holds up. Reliability bit them last year. Felt to me like they were pushing their cars too hard early on, and it caught up with them as the season ended.

It looked like he made two moves, but Ricciardo did not need to make that pass on that lap. Patience for one more lap would have made it easier. He had gained 2 to 3 tenths in the previous lap.

Finally watching the race. What a crazy moment.

I honestly think Ricciardo is most at fault. He got impatient. Even if Max had not moved again I think he still bins them both.

And man I feel bad for Grosjean. That just sucks.

Well, that German Grand Prix wasn't what I was expecting. Brilliant strategy by Merc to pit Lewis for Ultras and leave him on in the intermittent rain. And holy crap, what a terrible mistake from Seb.

And the see-saw goes back to Mercedes for now.

Smart move that will pay off I think.

Renault hasn't had the power train issues with the same engine red bull has and red bull is going to Honda power next year which is pretty crap as well.

Ha I didn't know this thread existed.

I've become an increasingly bigger fan each season for the past 5 years as my son and I have been to the last 4 races in Austin. I finally sprang for Turn 1 seats last season and I will never go back.

The Nico/Hamilton drama in 2016 was such great theater and this season has been very competitive. Looking forward to October.
