Posting from the turn 9 bleachers. First practice session was awesome, second session starts in 20 minutes. Couldn't be happier with my seats.

What do y'all think about the VSC. The drivers seem to be giving it a thumbs up, but you gotta know that when they're under green and hit that zone wheel to wheel there are going to be issues. Will be interesting to see.

In general admission with dad and brother today. Brother and I have never watched but dad is a big fan so this is our gift to him.

The Austin track is amazing. I watched qualifying from a suite at turn 18. The cars are unbelievable, even if they have lost the shriek they had when they had V8s.

If Perez didn't have the TelMex money he'd still be racing karts. The guy's a shunt machine.

Had a great day on Sunday. My father-in-law had an absolute blast driving Jenson Button around in the drivers parade, said they chatted and laughed about various stuff all the way around the track.

We ended up with great seats in the turn 12 bleachers, right in front of the corner, so saw lots of action in the Porsche race and the F1 race. Got some good pics of Lewis' pass on Nico.

There was some good racing in the Porsche Supercup race in the stadium section, too. At one point, the top 4 cars were 4 wide coming out of turn 12!

For anyone that didn't go this year, and is on the fence about going next year, I can't recommend going to this event highly enough. The General Admission sections were great, the lowest priced bleachers were great. It was easy enough to smuggle in food, and you could bring in sealed water bottles.

This was my first auto-racing experience, and I had a great time.

Europeans can be weird, I think they were trying to spare him the embarrassment of being lapped. It seemed like he handled it really well. Was also glad to see the two Williams cars make the podium. Next season should be very interesting after all the driver shake ups.

I don't remember what year the announcers said, but this is the first season in a very long time that no car from Williams, McLaren or Ferrari won a race.

I'm excited to see Bottas in the future.

Congrats to Lewis, he had one hell of a season. Nico impressed me with the way he handled it, glad they let him finish the race. Hopefully a team or two can step up to challenge the Mercs next season.
