They said today he wanted to complete his degree in finance because he wasn't banking on golf. He wanted something to fall back on.

I also thought they said he was going pro after this tourney (or that may have been one of the other amateurs out there today)

I think Dunne plans to play in the Walker Cup. So maybe pro before next year, but not after this tournament.

He's joining the euro tour.
Saw him play in the NCAAs. Thought he was too short of a hitter to make it on the tour,but he played out of his mind today.

It's a very short course, so he's not being penalized like he will when other courses are 800-1000 yards longer.

Not to bore you with numbers, but you're not exactly right.

According to the PGA, the average length of courses on the PGA tour in 2014 was about 7400 yards. St Andrews is 7305. Hardly a short course. It does have some short holes but it also has a couple that are brutally long.

Now, the way it plays, can be affected by wind and the hardness of the fairways.
