Sneds and Watson are really good friends so I am sure he didn't mind missing the cut (he wasn't going to contend anyways) if it meant his good friend got that kind of a moment and he could be a part of it. Sneds has multiple British Opens in his future, Watson doesn't.

Anyone know the expected timeline for finishing this tournament? The Weather Channel app seems to be indicating 70% or greater chance of rain Sunday and Monday. Are they gonna be playing through Wednesday? It doesn't seem like it's raining there right now. Is play stopped due to wind?
Yes because of wind. Planning on starting back up around 3 local time if winds lighten up as planned.

Round 3 Sunday.

Yeah looks like the R&A just sent out another update. Weather forecast is not looking good though they might have trouble even getting it finished Monday.

Well...Tiger made the weekend.
Ian Poulter was just on Periscope at the clubhouse with Lee Westwood, Darren Clarke, and Paul Lawrie. They were answering questions from fans and it was hilarious. They called over Oosthuizen and made fun of him for not marking his ball on time with the wind.

Played in this exact wind in Lubbock for regionals my last 2 years of high school. Maybe a little bit worse.
Impossible to putt. Yet we had no delays and were forced to finish.
Also played in Regionals with Spieth in Waco at Twin Rivers about 3 years ago and he shot 64 in a similar wind. Nobody else shot below 78 that day if I remember correctly.
