I find myself disappointed on those rare occasions when she doesn't take my spot.
Mine protects me from rolling out of bed.
our dog is literally like another person in the bed. He sleeps in between us on his back, head on the pillow, with his 4 legs in the air lol.
But he only sleeps on the bed a portion of the night.. usually the first anywhere from 10-30 min. then he pops back on in the early morning for another hour or two.
On rare occasion he'll sleep all night on the bed, I guess he's super tired those days.

Some days he is just really stressed. The amount of responsibility of being a domesticated dog in a loving home is more than you can fathom.
Heidi went to the groomer today. Tried to convince my wife to get her a doodlehawk, but no dice. Maybe next time...
Porter and Fox got a free studio session. They generally wouldn't cooperate due to either thinking the flashing lights were a thunderstorm or insane energy. They have plenty of prey drive and frequently kill birds and field mice but they grew up with this cat and leave him alone. They seem to know he's part of the pack. My huskies are smart AF.
We had a cat that raised multiple dogs and taught them manners as puppies. He ruled the kingdom.
